But I need to remove some defects so I thought I would need IP ... not sure what this P085RD product is compared to IP ? Can it remove defects and is it user friendly, for say a PC newbie.
mpmiller37 said:I wanted some comments on popular polishes that perform well with a PC that remove medium or light defects. Give me ones that are user friendly, and to get more specific how about on "black" cars :2thumbs:

JohnnyDaJackal said:*edit* for you PO85RD users via PC, do you get better results with a polishing or finishing pad? I seem to get the most slight marring, almost like FrizzleFry's after picture with everything I use. I'm wondering if I used a finishing pad with PO85RD instead of a polishing pad, if I would get rid of that ever so slight marring?

As final polishes Speed Glaze, Clearkote VM, and Optimum Polish.
SpoiledMan said:The "nano" polishes give their best shine with the rotary but will give pretty nice results with the PC and a polishing pad(W8006) and with longer work time a finishing pad. 99% of my use has been with the rotary and W9006 finishing pad and there isn't a buffer trail in sight anywhere.
Menzerna polishes are easy to use with the exception of PG which is still not difficult to use but does have a small learning curve. I don't have any problem with IP, FPII or the PO's being dusty at all. I use a sprits or two of water on the pads when using PG and that helps keep both dust and work time in check.

In your opinion, is VM comparable in removing swirls or compounding haze as Op Polish? I read that VM contains fillers right? Can I also go straight to VM from, say OPC with yellow LC pad to VM with white polishing pad?
