Poorboyx SSR -- How Much To Use ?

HondaMan

2004 Civic EX magnesium
I did 2 cars this weekend with my PC and SSR 2.5. Looks like I used about 1.5 ounces on each car (about 3 oz. total, or about 1/5th the bottle).

Is that about right? 2 medium-sized sedans, just used the stuff and the PC on the big panels, roof, etc -- didn't bother to apply it in the crevices or cracks by hand.

Did I use about the right amount, way too much, way too little? This was just my 2nd and 3rd time using the PC and the SSR's.....Thanks!

There is no "set" amount of any abrasive polish that you will use. It depends on how you worked the product. If you had to make several passes with the product to get the finish the way you wanted, you will use more product.

However, it sounds like you used about the right amount of product if it was just a quick "once-over" on a few panels.

When the SSR starts to dust is will the paint look foggy or will it have a shine to it. I am debating ordering some to try it out.
Thanks Will.

Thanks Will.

It should look very glossy (especially SSR1 & 2)................. not foggy! :bigups

Thanks, Boss...BTW, was looking over an old "Muscele Cars" mag and they had an article on the Boss 429 engine vs. the Mach 428 CJ.

For the top-part (above the strip) of 1 door panel -- let's say, 2/3rds of the panel, approximately -- how long would you use the PC on that 1 section, maybe 3 feet x 1 1/2 feet in area? I usually hit it for about 15-20 seconds.....maybe a bit less, maybe a bit more.

Is there any guideline on how long to use the PC with the SSR's? I did use it at a faster speed -- 5 -- as per the board's suggestions.
