Poorboy's World Detail - Quest

We had amazing weather this weekend. Last week we got down below freezing and this weekend we had high 70's; almost 80 degree weather. I had to work part of Saturday so that sucked! After I got home I went to work on my wife's 2001 Nissan Quest.

My Sister-in-law gave me a gift certificate to AG for my birthday and I finally used it before the end of the year. I ordered several PB products so I decided I'd do as much of the detail as possible using the PB products I have (new ones + already in my stock). Thanks to a review from Justin I ordered a bottle of PB PWS.

Day one:
I started about 3:00 PM. I washed the Quest with PB Super Slick & Suds. I used a foam gun and a Schmitt. Dried it with a leaf blower and the Air Wand followed by a Cobra Guzzler. Door jambs were cleaned with an MF and PB S&W.

Wheels where cleaned PB Spray and Rinse Wheel Cleaner while the tires and wells were cleaned with PB Bio-Degradable All Purpose Cleaner & Degreaser (50/50 mix with water). I dressed the tires with DP Gloss Tire Gel (I don't have PB Bold & Bright Tire Dressing). I finished the wheels with PB Wheel Sealant.

Day Two.
Got started about 10:00 AM. After much debate on the forum, I decided to go with PB Pro Polish on an LC Orange pad and the UDM. I only did parts of the car with the Pro-Polish, the hood and parts of the sides where there where more defects. I then followed up with a white pad and PB Polish with Sealant.

I can see why detailers like the PWS. It corrected minor defects, left a shine with a layer of sealant and was fast to apply. It pretty much melts into the paint. There is little to wipe off.

Interior received PB Natural Look and the glass was cleaned with Diamondite glass cleaner.

Exterior trim was dressed with PB Trim Restorer.

I started to apply a coat of Natty's Red but only got the hood and back done as my Sister in Law called and begged me to clean her car. I'll do another post on that.

This was my first experience using PB PWS. I really like it! It was easy to apply and left a slick shiny finish. I hope to finish waxing next weekend. The Natty's Red was going on smooth as butter and smelled of starwberries.

My photos are terrible. I got interrupted and then it started to get dark on the before and after shots. But here is what I have.

Before Wash (not real dirty):

Okay, so the lower side was dirty:

Once again, PB products did not disappoint me! :bigups

As I knew that they would not disappoint. You did a nice job and especially appreciate the wheel wells. Something that I often(purposely) forget.

Look forward to your next detail(post).

Looks great. If you call that before picture dirty, you'd faint if you see the vehicles up here :). The weather is indeed nice and hopefully I can get a few of them washed this week. Anyways, back to the Quest. It looks fantastic. PwS is a very nice product, I love how it cleans and how slick it makes the surface. Nice work as usual.

looks good... what was you determination of the Pro Polish cleaning vs the PwS? Just wait a couple days:idea the PwS will get slicker as it cures:wow:

The two are indeed different. The Pro-Polish left more residue that needed to be buffed off. It left a slick finish. I was surprised at how well it did with an orange pad. I had some bad scratches that if could not remove (they are way too deep) but it did lessen them a tad. A couple of light ones got removed completely. I would have done more of the Pro polish for a first pass if my Sister in law had not needed her car washed (see other post).

Very nice job.You can not go wrong with the Poorboy's line.
Someday(soon)I'll use the PwS.Can't wait.:passout:

Good job! PWS I'm sure you will find will be your favorite aio. I just bought a gallon of the stuff it rules!!:rockon
