Poorboys SSR2.5

The smell is bubbleliciusly delicious :D

Because I find it pleasant I can't comment on whether it's too strong.

I did noticed that some pink discoloration remained on my pad but it doesn't bother me too much.

i don't think the smell of either SSR 2.5 or SSR 1 to be too strong, just a hint. then again, my nose could be off. :D

as for cleaning of the pads, in my experience, SSR 2.5 comes out quite well from my yellow cutting pad. SSR 1 left my white polishing pad pink. both pads get a soak in a bucket of warm water and woolite, sometimes washed with a hand soap and water, before being rinsed.

Very accurate review Corey .Since reading it I tried SSR2 on an NSX. I used my Cyclo to work the product. Instead of water, I lightly spray my pads with FI. To me, it's similiar to using Menzerna FP. Here's a hood shot. Thanks, Terry

Very well done review Corey, thanks! Did you follow up with SSR1 or another finishing polish or was the finish good enough to go straight to a glaze/LSP? Also, have you ever used Menzerna PG or IP ? If you have can you compare the usability and results of PG or IP to SSR1?

Thanks!

I'd say that SSR2.5 breaks down finer than DACP, but maybe not enough to go straight to, say, AIO or VM something else without a lighter polish in it. You could, in a pinch, and it would look great to the non-detailer, but I think another polish gives it a little more reflection and a clearer shine. Crisper I suppose.

If the customer is paying for only a 2 step (polish/wax) you could do SSR2.5 and #16, or wolfgang protection, or NXT. It just wouldn't look as good as it can--but they aren't paying for it to look as good as it can. :o

I used the Blackfire Pre Polish since I have a lot left, but there are other (better) finer polishes--I think blackfire polish is probably 95% oil and 5% uhm...matters. heh
