Before i take on my Snuglid with the SSR and work on getting some blemishes out such as some minor scratches and also some staining from a plastic wrap that left a residue on it. I would like to make sure these products are in fact safe for this application. The Cover is a clear coat so I see no reason why they wouldnt be since it has always been treated and cared for the same as the rest of the truck. Just want to make sure is all.

Cwcad has about an acre of cover on his black truck.
He will probably have some suggestions for products. I think he has used quite a few Poor Boy's products. I suppose there might be something he hasn't tried yet, but it will only be a matter of time.:)

Since I have had my cover for over two years I have had a time with stains and scratches. Mostly because I used products to instill swirls and stains.

With the trim on my tonneau cover I have used AIO, ForeverBlack, and Trim Restore to get it into good shape.

The scratches that I instilled were taken out with Menzerna products, Poorboy's and Zaino ZPC Fusion. The Poorboy's SSR line works well with PC or Rotary. AS do the other two that I mentioned previously.

Here is a link to what my black tonneau cover looks like with two of the three mentioned products. The process worked for me. My tonneau cover is clear coated an it is treated with the same process as the other paint on my truck. It really is treated according to the defect as to which product I use.
