Poorboy's Spray and Wipe questions?

03COBRA

I miss my 03 Cobra......
Alright, I have finally decided to give this product a try! But I have a couple of questions before I get started.

--How much do I apply to a panel?

-Just enought to cover the panel, it's running off the paint?

--Only use it with a dirty car?

-A week of normal, good weather driving?

--Is there any marring at all?

--Do I only apply light pressure to the towel?

--How many towels do I need?

-One towel for removing the bulk of S&W, and one to wipe of the excess?

Thanks guys/gals,

Kyle

I just spray it on the panel. A light mist on the panel is usually good enough. As long as the paint is not caked with dirt.

Not a dirty car, a lightly dirty car I would say.

Yes, you should only need light pressure with the MICROFIBER ;)

I do my whole car with one Microfiber. 16X16

The stuff is mind boggling. I first used it on my rather dirty black truck and did the entire truck with one medium sized WHITE MF rag and in the end the towle wasn't even that dirty, the dirt just vanished into thin air?!?!?!?

GREAT PRODUCT, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

As for application, I spray a small amount and rub very lightly and do one panel at a time. Of course marring will happen, as long as a rag is in contact with your paint then some marring will happen, how much depends on the quality of the rag, products used, and pressure. Marring is inevitable but I've had VERY little marring using this product (less than from traditional washes).

Also, I've read people that have diluted this with water and use it as a QD, so yes you can use it on a clean car as well!

Hi Kyle,

1) Use a high volume spray set on the finest mist you can get. You should only need 1-2 sprays per panel. Less is more with this stuff. You spray on, let sit for 20-30 seconds to lift the dirt and grime, wipe front to back, flip towel and wipe clean.

2) I use it every 3-5 days without a problem. If the surface is noticeably not optically clear (blocked by grime), definately go to a bucket wash.

3) If used correctly, no.

4) Very light pressure...Steve actually reccomends no pressure, but I use oh so little just so the towel stays on the surface

5) I use (1) 16x16 WW MF...I have only needed 2 once, when my car was pretty dirty, in which I should've QEW'd it.

Couple notes: If it is streaking after you wipe clean, you are using too much.

Hope this helps :)

My only exception is I use a bit more S&W about 2-3oz and 4-5 MF's on my Yukon. It's truely a great product!

I can't do a post without any before and afters:D

Here are some before and afters with S&W:

Old thread.... but good topic.

blkyukon: IMO you maintain a very nice finish on your truck, and I know that you use the high power lights to look for defects. Are you saying that you haven't noticed any marring or scratching from using PB S&W? Do you use it in the winter to remove salt/splatter?
