Poorboy's S&W

Packaging: Standard Poorboys packaging...it contains the product very well.
Directions:Simple yet explain what to do and what NOT to do with the product- always a plus.
Ease of Use:I would give this a 9 out of 10. I think it will get a 10 out of 10 next time I use it though...I applied way to much product for fear of scratching my black paint. It smeared a lot and left a residue behind. I switched to using 2 MFs (ultra plush yellows from pakshak) one for the initial wiping and a clean dry one for a final drying, that worked great.
I ended up using about 8-10 ounces to do the car, minus the windows. Does this seem about right to the S&W users?

I have to check in the sunlight tomorrow to see if there was any marring introduced by using this...from what I can see under the Florescents (SP?) there doesnt seem to be any. As far as washing a car with it, it is a great product if you are pressed for time. I did notice that if there is anything on the paint such as sap or dried bugs a specific cleaner will be needed to remove these.

I was skeptical about using this product at first, but after using it I would have to say it is a QD on steroids :D and it does live up to its claims as a waterless wash.

8-10 OUNCES FOR A CAR!!! Wow that is entirely too much. You should be using about 1 ounce per car.

As far as marring goes...I feel that anything you do to the car causes marring to some degree. Even traditional washing with water, the best possible soap and the finest microfiber mitt will still cause some amount of marring. The trick is to minimize that as much as you possibly can and then when it gets to be noticable you polish the car and renew the finish. I've used S&W for a while now and I can honestly say its one of the best detailing products I own and it has become an invaluable part of my procedure. Enjoy the product...just stop using so much of it!!!

The two towel method works best for me. One to wash with and one to dry with.
8-10 ounces is waaaay to much. I'm not sure, but I think about 2, maybe 3 ounces will usually do my van or GTP including windows, wheels, and tires. I think most of us were skeptical about it until we actually used it. It has become my favorite detailing product.

I can see using 3 on a lightly dirty car. I will have to mark the spray bottle before I use it next time to see how much I actually use.

1 OUNCE!!! I am looking at a 2 ounce bottle right now and I got to say...you gotta be joking right?

9 ounces!!!! WOW...... i use 1 oz at most on my mom's SUV. i figure, if its too dirty for S&W, wash. when in doubt, wash. thats what ranney told me. i usually use about .5 oz for every car depending on how dirty it is.

ok due to dyslexia or too many drugs when I was younger I used about 4-5 ounces on the car to wash it, I read the bottle wrong. :wall

Just making sure, did you use half a 16 ounce bottle? Cause HOLY CRAP! Thats alot dude. You must of saturated the surface with tons of dirt emulsyfiers.... .5 - 1 at the most. Which reminds me I have to use more of my S&W for XMAS :D

Actually I poured some out of the gallon jug into a 32 ounce spray bottle...I didnt have it filled up all the way to the 32 mark...hence why I thought I had used 8-10 when I used about 4-5ish.
I shoulda paid more attention when I started...

OK, are we done beating Scott up about how much S & W he "thinks" he used? Otherwise, I thought it was a good review of a great product.
Thanks for posting it, Scott!

Another S & W believer!

To me that would defeat the purpose of the product...It is called a waterless wash., you should be able to wash a car with it right? anything else for light dust ect you can use a QD for. Obviously on black you have to be very selective about QDing a car, but that is a whole different story.
I agree when steve said for extremly dirty cars it is a good idea to spray them off for economical reasons.

I hope this doesnt sound snotty or anything, it is not meant to be.

After pouring the gallon into graduated spray bottles I used just about 6 fl. oz. to do the car.

you guys are funny:lol :hah ....don't pick on a new user:nono ...it is very typical for beginners to use more...if you think that's funny, Natty used a 16oz bottle the first time on his wife's Taurus and didn't finish it:lmfao ...after a few more attempts he has mastered it and typically uses about 2oz per vehicle. Yes the amount of dirt will determine a variation of product used and just always remember it's YOUR car and you must feel comfortable:bigups
Also for those who only want to use it for light dust, dilute it with water about 20-30%, and for people who are looking for more gloss at the same time, try using something like, QD+, UGE or FD instead of the water dilution;)

I'll have to try those mixtures. I wonder how some Pinnacle Crystal Mist would work with it.

Anyways, I usually use 1oz to do my whole car.

Steve & Norah:
I don't think anyone was really picking on Scott. He did ask if the amount sounded about right.
