Poorboys are they a Re-Seller?

I can answer from my point of view: an average Hungarian per capita income is around US$650. That's with a fuel price of US$6 per gallon.

When you want to buy detailing prodcuts from the US, the shipping is considerable (around US$80 per 5 bottle), so I simply want to know what I'm buying. Readily available informations are always better than hidden agendas or secret investigations. Simple and easy.

I agree in the sense that its good to know the originator, because thats a step in the right direction to ascertaining what you are paying for when purchasing from a relabeler. Am I getting a slightly different, enhanced, product from the relabeler? Or is it the same exact blend with a higher price due to the middle man.

Furthermore, I don't understand why so many people here are opposed to this question? As if they are protective of the status quo... Many of us do NOT want to have to try numerous products to figure things out. I don't have the $ or time. Thus, I can possibly use information as a short cut, if I find product A is relabeled with extra margins as product B, I know have one less product to consider.

Finally, lets say I'm considering the purchase of a relabeled item due to a custom blend. Well, simply because the relabeler or the manufacturer says its a custom blend doesn't neccessitate it being so. Knowing more about how may people relabel from a particular manufacturer may help in decrypting the reality behind certain products.

Because everything has been nothing but speculation and this subject has been beat to death so many times that it's not even worth discussing. Anyone that is so hung up on the product and not the process isn't really an Autopian in my eyes. CG has fine products and if you're in to saving money I'm sure they will perform fine for you. Same with Car Brite, Auto Magic etc. I've used Meguiars, Clearkote, Poor Boys, UPP, Optimum and many others along the way, but I concentrate more on my process than the product, but I also enjoy trying out different products. Nobody's trying to hide some sort of conspiracy, it's just that to many it's not worthy of discussion. If a person is truly interested in how a product works, then some in the forum should be able to help. A good way to find out if it's a product you want to use, usually someone will have a small sample available for free or a nominal fee. That's the best way to find products you'll want to use.

Well, arguments being put forth which are purely speculative aren't really a bad thing are they? Furthermore, hasn't "How to apply kAIO" been beat to death, but its still answered every time isn't it? I get that the speculation may lead to certain products being bad mouthed when there are no grounds... but similar events can occur when someone suggest that a particular product is no good when in reality they applied it incorrectly. So while that this type or thread may be loathsome to some, just don't open it maybe?

Come now... the product discussion forum is the 2nd largest on here and products and accessories are HUGE in the detailing world. Just because someone is "hung up" on products doesn't mean they've forgone the process.

Are you a professional detailer? In which case you may go through as many products in a month that I a casual weekend detailer may go through in a year. This forum is meant to be a tool to proliferate information, process and product included.

I don't think nor did I instigate that theres a conspiracy... theres a status quo which many are happy with and some would like to further investigate. Thats all.

I appreciate the depth of your response, but I still maintain that there is validity in wanting to know who relabels.

You really think that information is going to be readily available? Those that have product relabled want to protect their customer base and those that do the relabeling also want to protect thier customer they relabel for. It happens in almost every industry and like I said, find a product you're happy with and a cost that you're comfortable with and enjoy detailing. There are much bigger issues than this to deal with and if you've been around for awhile and seen the many pissing matches on this forum discussing this, then you'll know why this subject doesn't ever accomplish anything.

Fair enough :up

Jorgens Garage: CG products avalible at your local Costco! Including CG EZ GLAZE, a decent a QD and Shampoo (Avalible in gallons in some Costcos!) and a version or rebranded tin of 20/20 Wax!

TBH, if you have a card and you dont want to shop online but want quality get over there! Im a big Mothers and Megs fan, but 20/20 is a sweet wax to pick up "in town".

I dont know for sure but I dont think he meant any harm, I think he is trying to find out who the relabelers are, not people like Danse and Adams who have thier own formulas and just use CG for manufacturing. I mean is ther really a difference between Lexus and Toyota? Infinity and Nissan? It depends on who you talk to, Chevy,Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Cadiliac,Buick,Saturn,Saab,Hummer, GMC are all products of General Motors, Cadillac is the only devision to have its own engineers and the corvette has its own assembly plant.

so is that to say a Saturn is on par with a corvette or Cadillac....I would think not!

Just my two cents.
