Poorboy's APC

JaredPointer

COME AT ME BRO
Steve -

First and foremost thanks!

Secondly, I was hoping to get some common dilution rates and their uses for the APC&D.

Thanks.

JP

I've been using it for a few years now..

For general cleaning I mix it 1 part APC to 10 parts water.

Wheel wells and such where I need real cleaning power. 1 part to 4 parts water.

To date I've never had to use it straight.

Hope that helps!

You are welcome Jared ... dilution rates should be on the back of the label :hmmm: I usually use it at 15:1 for most applications. ;)

Maybe I am missing something, but I didn't see anything about dilution rates.

I was going to try it out for the following areas:

1) Tires
2) Wheel wells & Undercarriage
3) Leather (cleaning)
4) Engine bay

Anyone with experience/tips/suggestions please feel free to chime in.

For Tires, engines and wheel wells its great, for those areas I use the stronger mixture. I tend to not like using any APC on leather. I've had some bad results in the passed. Maybe Steve can lend a note here.

I also use my dilution ratios much stronger than Steve, I guess this is something that you have to play with to find what works best for you

:hmmm: I guess there are still a few bottles circulating with the old label

Here's a picture from my bottle ;)

Yes, there is not exact dilution that is right

126:2 for windows??? Why not say 63:1? Ya think people would be more likely to mix up a gallon of solution than a half gallon? (seeing as how you've got it at a pretty handy ratio for ounces to make a gallon)

:hmmm: I have more empty gallon bottles around than 1/2 gallons ;)

btw what comes in 1/2 gallon sizes other than milk or juice :notme:

Well, people may well have just such jugs in their very own home/recycling bin. Would be handy, no?

And a gallon of glass cleaner goes a loooong way, unless you've got a business or OCD.

Anyway, teachers and students that paid attention in class should know that you reduce ratios/fractions to their lowest terms. Right, sir? ;)

Steve, I always felt that APC was just APC. Not one was much better than the other. Once I started using yours that changed for me.

As a glass cleaner its OK certainly not my go to, but in a pinch works well.

On every other aspect that I've used it, its great!

Just used it to clean my tires and wheel wells. I probably diluted it something around 7:1 (14:2), ad it did a great job.
