Poorboys All Purpose cleaner - stained my Intercooler

So a while ago I was washing my engine bay with the Poorboys All Purpose cleaner. I sprayed the engine bay with water before i put on the cleaner. I applied the cleaner and let it sit for about 3-5 mins max. I washed it off with water and dried

Now it looks like water stains? its everywhere including my Intercooler, I tried to use Mothers metal polish to see if it will remove the stains but no luck...

Any ideas fellas? :thx

Any APC should be diluted for specific uses such as metal. I always dilute Simple Green on any engine bay detail to prevent the problems like you have.

I'd say that your willingness to pull the intercooler from the car is half the battle. Now you can access it with power tools. This is assuming you have some sort of buffer. What other polishing items do you have on hand (metal specific or otherwise?). Maybe we can find something readily available to you. Likely, not much can be done about the fins but the larger flat areas can be improved.
