How about Color X, wouldn't that work as a gentle swirl remover?

Used by hand, I'd expect it to be far too mild to effectively remove any marring, except maybe on *very* soft paint. Somebody recently did OK with it via PC/4" orange pad, but I think it'd be hard to match that performance by hand.
