Cant make my mind up

In an earlier post I said I was going to try EO 20/20 glass cleaner and that I was using Stoners IG. Well I have gone back and fourth and I came up with this=

Stoners IG

A little more expensive than EO

When buffed off properly and completely virtually streak free

Takes quite a bit of elbow grease to buff out

EO 20/20 glass cleaner

Cheaper

Very easy to buff off

Also notice it leaves alot more streaks than IG

I really dont clean my inside windows often just wipe them down with a dry towel to get dust off. We all know how much of a pain it can be when cleaning the inside rear window and the lower part of the winshield, this is where EO's easy buffing comes in handy but I hate streaks so much so there you have it cant decide? I have also used Meguiars FI, a little more difficult to use but if you get it on the paint it wont harm it.

They are both good and so is eagle 1 20/20.

Try them both and tell us what you think. I can't make up my mind.

The towel you use has alot to do with this. I use CMA's Viper Glass Cleaning Cloth and Stoners and am very happy. Many Auopians use E1 20/20 and are happy as well. If you can find it locally consider Sprayway glass cleaner.

Hard to go wrong with those choices.

My question is I have m205 and I used it about a month ago and seeing how it was my 1st time using a buffer I did nit do so well. So how long should I wait to re use it? I read u should only polish ur car 2 times a year cause it takes some clear coat off.

M205 is a finishing polish, so it doesn't remove all that much paint (depending on what pad you used.

What are the problems that you are having? Maybe a picture or two would help us know what needs to be done.

I am using an orange pad. The problem I had was I ds not put enough pressure when I was buffing. So I dis not get out all the swirls.

First, do you have a wax or sealant on the car? If so, it will need to be striped off. I don't think it will be a problem to go back and polish it out again. Since you didn't get the swirls out the first time, you didn't remove to much paint.

Again, more info would be helpful here. What buffer are you using? what speed? how much pressure? Did you clay it first?

Where did you hear you only need to polish twice a year?? Based on what reasoning? Did they say its for all cars? Not all cars need polishing that frequently, and some need it more.... its just not a blanket statement. If you can give us more info, we can be more help to you.

If you are using the Orange Power pad with M205 discontinue using it.
With lake county pads use smart pads the white or black finishing pad depending on the cut you want ; using twice a year I recomend the white pad then followed with say M21 sealant with black finishing pad speed 3 or 2.

You may not finish lsp ready using orange but if after applying more pressure you cant accomplish what you want you may try 105 orange, 205 white. There are many post on how to polish like with the PC apply pressure till it slows down but not enough to stop it. Flex is about 15-20 lbs. Good Luck.

If you are polishing your car very aggressively then perhaps you should only polish it once every couple of years. However if you are using a fine polish in a non-aggressive method you can polish it quite frequently. Unfortunately there are way to many variables to give concrete answers, but I think you will be fine!
