Polishing glass. Few questions before actually doing it.

OCD Detailer!
I am going to polish out watermarks on glass using makita rotary and 3" woolpad and meg's heavy cut cleaner and since this is my first time. Is there anything I should know before I proceed? I don't want to mess the glass or break it. Is there any different in glass hardness just like paint? Is there any different in europe and japanese windshield?
 
don't use a wool pad, they make glass polishing pads. Depending on how hard the water spots are they make come out with an AIO on a softer pad. Use a less aggressive approach and go up till u reach ur perfection!!
 
I just tried out some Klasse and a soft bad and it cleaned the glass up nice and quick. I've read some mixed reviews about this but it seemed to work pretty well.
 
I use Unelko glass science with carpet (the red carpet kind) as applicator by hand



Works just fine for me...



Rotary+Wool pad sounds overkill to me...
