Polishes for PPG Ceramiclear?

Hooked For Life
I believe I read a while back Autoglym is the only mfr right now that has polishes for this paint. I looked at the site but saw no mention of Ceramiclear. Can anyone tell me which polishes are the correct ones for this finish and I how/where I can purchase.

Thanks!

Menzerna has one that is designed for this ceramic coating. You may want to contact Jeff Silver at Menzerna to discuss which one you need. Website is MenzernaUSA.com and look under contact.

I lean toward Menzerna as they were first to market with a polish just for OEM use on Ceramiclear. I believe the Maybac also has this coating, and yes Menzerna is the ONLY polish used for that vehicle.

I have a case of FP on order since I use that on alll my final polish work on fine finishes to get that mirror effect. Follow with a good sealant and it's spetacular.

Thanks Deanski,

I hope to get around to doing that. Sure hope Menzerna would expand/update their site though.

I have a customer with a 2004 S500 with the Ceramiclear paint. Very nice, extremely minor cobwebbing even 3 month after last wax. I've just used NXT twice now on it (once when a couple months old and again about 3 months ago so it is due again) because a close inspection shows no need for any real paint correction. I will probably lay down a glaze when I wax it next since it will be 6 months old).

Anyway, I talked to Mike Phillips about it when I was at the Meguiars meet and he said he was able to work out some scratches with DACP, a rotary and a Meguiars Polishing pad. Says it buffs out real nice.

Yeah, I recall seeing a scanned photo of the Mercedes bulletin on Ceramiclear. I think it said Meguiars and 3m work well on it but then I read something else about it may needing special type of polish so I wanted to ask in this thread. Hmm..if Meguiars DACP works well then I suppose other similar polishes will too.
