This was the latest detail, Rich (owner of polishedbliss.co.uk) had spoken to the customer several weeks ago and organised the detail, and his words were along the lines of "this is probably one of the worst black cars i've seen for a while, and the interior isnt much better". So it arrived on Saturday......

So, the car was washed, clayed (which took nearly 3 hours alone due to what looked like cement dust bonded to every panel of the car!) and dried and rolled into the polishing shop (my garage :D ) to reveal some minor swirls.....

This was going to be a fun one, there were ALOT of random and heavy scratches,Solid black too! I knew i wouldnt get them all out but it didnt help the fact that i couldnt find a PTG reading of more than 113 microns. The roof especially was VERY thin, averaging around the 80 micron mark, the tailgate was also very thin.

Total work time: 14 hours.

All in all, i was very pleased with the outcome of this Detail. I would have liked to have removed the defects from the roof but as i mentioned above, it was pretty damn thin and i sure as hell wasnt going to be the person to go through the clear coat, the paint wasnt that soft for a jap car, but at around 80 microns i wasnt taking any chances...

Thanks for looking :)

:bow Amazing turnaround on that Lexus, definitely one of the best I have seen.

I hope all your work was not in vain and it is trashed in two weeks. :nervous2:

Here's hoping Scott, they were wanting it done for selling it so hopefully it hasnt seen any of the Great Scottish countryside, just a nice tarmac drive :D

That is insane! :cooleek:

Fantastic job, and i don't think the time investment is unrealistic. I always underestimate the time I've invested in bodywork, detailing etc....

Great job.
