Polish before Zaino

I was wandering what your favorite polish is to use before Zaino?

I was thinking 1Z MP but was hoping to get some other help as to see what you guys use.

I'd be careful with the 3M SMR has it is NOT filler free. I would think you'd have bonding problems if you didnt dawn wash.

I'd swap 3M's PI-III-MG for it instead, same type of product but no fillers.

TQB I am in the *process* right now .. FP on a PC will do very minor swirls .. I usually use both before Zaino.

I am actually in an experimintation mode right now .. up here the spring full detail happens a panel a day in 40 Deg weather so I do a panel or 2 then NXT it .. in a week or so I will be done then will apply another NXT to see how I like it. If no .. I will AIO and Zaino or SG it.

Thanks for the info guys.

Glad you guys posted before I messed up. I had just bought some 1Z PP and MP but since it does contain oils and that might cause a bonding issue I guess I will have to buy the Menzerna Twins. Should have asked this before I ordered the 1Z. Oh well guess its live and learn.

Where do you guys buy your menzerna products at?

You can still use the 1Z polishes. Just Z7 wash or 50:50 isopropyl alcohol QD prior to applying the Zaino to remove the oils/silicones and fillers. Zero problems with Z adhersion.

Menzerna: CMA . They will Air-Freight overnight at NO charge to meet their promised shipping / delivery date!!!:xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs

Perfectly OK :xyxthumbs

Zaino is not picky about what is used to prep a vehicle, only that oils and fillers do not predominating the surface after completing this step. Even after Menzerna I will wash vehicle. Normally polishing residue is everywhere and I like to rid vehicle of all such contaminates before I apply any protectant. :wavey

I've had very good luck with Poorboy's SSR1/SSR2, followed by Pro Polish as a prep for "Z". The doesn't seem to leave anything behind, and gets the surface extremely clean, clear, and bright!
