Pneumatic Buffers?

Just One More Coat
I used a pneumatic buffer for some metal polishing over the weekend. I was way impressed with the control and speed of the machine.

Anyone here using pneumatic as a buffer?

Its been at least 20 years and more since Ive used one and used one regularily for a few months .This was even back in the days of using wool only.I remember it took some getting used to!

I preferred the electric actually ,I think because the trigger wasnt so sensitive and it was too light weight for my liking but Im sure tools have changed over the years .

They gobble up the air so your going to need a large capacity tank to use it any length of time. A small compressor is not going to get it.

Oh the good ole days. I learned rotary on an aluminum cased one. A gazillion rpm and dial on the trigger. They were great in prepping chrome bumpers during the copper stages. As long as you leveled it like paint.

I still use a 3".

I may just dust mine off after seeing this thread.................. then put it right back where it was. LOL
