Pledge furniture spray



is it safe for dashboard top plastics? Last i read, pledge has some silicone in it. What kind of damage does silicone do exactly ?



my 2007 dashboard is getting a little dull, and i want to restore a little wee bit of sheen to it.

A Gloss, Satin or Matte luster urethane leather finish topcoat is another option to consider!

If anyone finds that using Pledge on a dashboard is resulting in in a greasy film on windows, I suggest that they are using way too much product. While there are better products for the same application, I've continued using the Pledge in my 1985 Oldsmobile since I purchased the car new, and haven't found a downside in the past 26 years.

I forgot about the clear floor wax for the vinyl top! Thanks for the reminder, Lawrencea. I'm going back to that next time.

Since we're discussing Pledge, I'm still using Pledge with Future shine on my wheel wells for now--no dust attraction and high resistance to rain and splashes but you have to make sure it doesn't drip on the ground or it can be difficult to clean up apply it with a long handled sponge.
