Pleather cleaner

My VW Jetta has pleather interior and I noticed the other day some significant blue jean stain or something of the sort on the seats. I tried using some old cleaner wipes I had lying around but they didn't seem to really do the trick. Do you think I need any special care when trying to clean this or will any cleaner be effective? Secondly, I know there's been discussion in the past but I never did find a clear answer: Do you guys have a preference on what to use as a protectant on pleather? I've seen Lexol thrown around a bit...

This bluejean dye transfer is becoming an epidemic status. I advise you to lay a towel down on your seat next time you wear these. Only problem using a towel is if you slam on the brakes, you may end up on the floorboard /:)

Ive been using lexol most of the time but have used vinylex too for pleather.

I have a year old lexus I take care of every 3 months and everytime there is jean transfer and it comes off with lexol soap and a stiff brush with no problem.

On the other hand I had a customer who had jean transfer that wouldnt come off with anything but it had been on there for a few years .

I think regular cleaning is key.
