Please watch this video of sanding/buffing!!!!

For the bodyshop guy once it's out the door he won't see it again-as long as it looks acceptable. The amount of clearcoat removed isn't his concern. Time is money so the fastest approach is the "best".

I saw what everybody said about the foam pad, I did not think it would be that bad.

Does the paint still have a haze to it or I am I on crack?

If he was that creative like he thinks he is, he should have just mixed Zymol and Supa compound. He would have saved a step. Doesn't matter either way, the mess is still going to come back anyway how you look at it.

I should just tell him that.:chuckle:

The worst part is this is the kind of jacka$$ that gives the detail industry a crappy rep. Further this idiot would never admit to being completely incompetent, wrong, and unworthy of a rotary. Makes me wanna take that 200 year old foam pad and ...

I'm going to make an account there and ask him that, if you don't mind of course

Cripes that was painful, unbelievable and just plain sad. I worry that some of my pads have stains on them that won't come out and this guy uses a trashed pad. The way he works no wonder he says he applies a lot of clear, he'd need to! I can't wait to hear what happens when the members from here join on the autobody forum and the fur starts to fly. Someone just take that guy out please. :scared:

lol ouch; i was afraid he would have burned the paint seeing how long he took before moving the buffer. and ouch, not even using any type of less agressive polish after compounding? he just took zymol (cleaner wax) to cover up his shiz? even I know better than that... and i'm a complete noob...

I think you guys are being a little harsh. That forum isn't for detailers it's for people learning to paint their cars themselves. I can tell you my first few paint jobs were pretty horrible.
