Please help with these paint defects!! (Lots of Pics)

Thanks Eliot!

I just went outside and #7 and #26ed it and waiting to take off the wax. In my past experience and from what I have read #7 does not last long at all. Also when you said a painter would most likely just need to blend it, does that usually take sanding it? I know sanding is the majority of the cost of a paint job due to the time it takes. I just want to be aware of how much it will be before I actually get there to even know if I have a chance of getting it painted right now (full time student).

No not harsh at all. Id much rather here the truth and what is possible and whats not.

OK, cool, wasn's sure how I'd come across.

[QIOTE]I may go by a shop tommorow and see if I can get an estimate on this. Would you have any idea on pricing? [/QUOTE]

Sorry, no idea. But considering how nice that car is, whatever it costs would be well worth it IMO. You might talk with the shop about your doing the prep work. The less they have to do the cheaper it'll be. The panel breaks should help keep it reasonable too.

The part of the bumper you painted turned out nice, but the roof would be a whole 'nother ballgame. I'd let the pros do that.

I'm not that familiar with your generation of F-body, I had earlier ones. But I *am* into '95 B-bodies (Caprice 9C1s). When the clear goes on that generation of GM paint, it goes, and all you can do is repaint. But doing the paintwork as needed is just one of those bite-the-bullet expenses like any other repair.

Hope the estimate is bearable and that things turn out well. I sypathize with anybody going to school full time (retired college teacher).

Well I would like to thank you guys.

I will be dropping by some paint shops this week to see about how much. I dont see it costing too much though. College is too much for me to have a job and any extra time I have I use my car as my relief to sanity.
