Hello, I hope someone can help me with a upcoming detail i want to do to my car. This seems like a good place for help. I will be using a UMD. Here are my steps, please feel free to tell me what you think. My goal is near swirl-paint with amazing shine. The color is Ford Performance Red. Time and the amount of steps does not matter.

wash

Clay

Meguiars M83 w/ Wolfgang orange pad

Meguiars M80 w/ Wolfgang orange pad

Meguiars M09 w/ ccs white pad (Might not be needed if no marring)

Meguiars M07 w/ ccs gray pad

Meguiars M21 w/ ccs blue pad

Meguiars M26 or PB's Natty blue by hand

Then glass tires trim ect.

Any thoughts or imputs would be most helpful, I have used a very similar process with cheap orbitial and it came out looking pretty good. Lastly, would it not be a good idea to use the light cutting pad with the M83 & M80?? I have heard that this could cause some type of scouring.Any truth to this??

Thanks

I really only use Meg's 83 on that list... You'll find very few of us that sticks with one line for everything. I'm sure a lot of people use 1 thing on that list, but not everything. Not many people are going to reply to a thread like this.

If I was doing a red car, I'd probably go SIP, PO85RD, DWG and Victoria Concours or maybe SIP, Poli-Seal, OS

If you want to use that combo, go for it, I've used a lot of the things on your list, but have SO many things that I would prefer over it...

I would honestly skip the #9..i hate it, it has almost zero corrective abilities....but some people are fine with that..im not but everythin else looks alright...83 is great...80 is decent...good luck!
