playin' hooky

NattyBumppo

Strange name, ain't it?
What a day to take an impromptu vacation day from work. Took off yesterday, mid 70s, clear sky and the stream was calling me!

Spent a good 4 hours on my favorite local trout stream all by my lonesome. There wasn't another soul in sight which is just what I wanted! Managed to land a bunch of fiesty browns with two of them being a very respectable 15-16" range.

Couple the fishing with getting to have breakfast with the family then seeing my kids off to the bus for the first day of school and it was a banner day! I felt so darn relaxed and zenful I almost felt guilty.

Here is a pic of where I was fishing. I bet it's not what most people expect to see when they hear New Jersey!

Awesome day Natty and yes I am suprised that is NJ, you must be near PA. But if that is NJ, aren't the fish radioactive?

LOL...you guys are too much. And yes THomasfl, I am near the PA border. In fact, that stream is very close to the PA border...about 5 minutes from the Dingman's Ferry bridge.

Just around one of the bend, The turnpike and Parkway intersect, Around the other bend the Oil refineries close'd down for a few days so gasoline prices can get to $2 a gallon,
you can;t fool me...
