Platinum UPP STINKS!

:rolleyes: Don't tell me that after all the time I've been here that the one thing I'll be remembered for is Goat Urine. lol Oh well, I guess you gotta be remembered by something. Come to think of it, skunk sweat and goat urine are similar in smell. Goat urine makes a better cleaner and skunk sweat is more for leather and glass and stuff. :lol

the opportunity to be of service to you and also to inspect the product.



What you probably smell is amino-functional polymers. Platinum no longer

puts any fruity fragrances in UPP to cover this smell up. Quite frankly,

there is so much amino-functional polymers in UPP that it would take ALOT of

artificial fragrance to mask it.

i have been a pupp convert for a long time and yes, the 'old' mix does have a strong odor akin to a petroleum smell of some sort - i have sensitive eyes and it can quickly get my eyes a little burning - that was the OLD MIX - i stress this because they just released the NEW MIX. They bought all new equipment to blend it and the new stuff is superb and the odor is dramatically diminished. The product formula is the same.



Dwayne is a rightous guy - a total pro, and i trust his response btw. He had told me a long time ago that there is a maximum saturation of polymers in the pupp - maybe that is why it seems to last so long.

No no no no..........If its smells nasty, I aint using it.......I would rather smell vanilla, cherry, grape, bubble gum, whatever it is covering up the chemicals, then smell chemicals...I dont care if its a buck more a bottle.....Anyone ever smelled "Liquid Ebony"?
 
My UPP smells very nice, like vanilla. I bought some of the latest revision back in April. Does no harm to the finish and leaves an awesome deep wet finish and is superslick even after a few washes. Do a search for my review of the old formula in the review section. A representative even took the time to write me a PM and thank me for my review. They are a great company to do business with.
 
I agree UP is awesome stuff ! But I like BF II a tad better........

You would use a product just because it smells better than another product? I can understand that when using car scents, but with other things I would think that results would be what you are looking for more than the smell. The smell is only while you are applying it. The results last a lot longer than the odor does. I agree that scenting a product does take the edge off when working, but if the scent is going to compromise the effectiveness of the product then I would rather they just let me use it straight without the perfumes.
