Platinum Help

I am going to be detailing my black '03 MB E class this weekend for the first time (yes, it's been washed- just not detailed properly). My first point of business will be swirl removal to eliminate the minor swirls that the dealer put in the car. I am going to be using 3M SMR for dark via my PC. I will be using Platinum UPP to finish the car. My question is... do I need to apply Platinum cleaner after the SMR and before the UPP? Would there be any benefit? If not, should I dawn wash before the UPP? I've never used the SMR or Platinum products and I really want to get this right. ANy help or opinions are greatly appreciated!

BTW- It looks like the highs here on Saturday will be around 50. I'll be doing all steps except for my initial wash in the garage which should be around 60 or so. Any ideas on how long the UPP will have to cure before buffing? Thanks!!!!!!

I just detailed my Father's 1997 740iL for his Christmas present and used the new Platinum for the first time. After I polished with DACP and P21S GEPC, I used the Platinum Pre-Cleaner prior to the Platinum Ulitimate Paint Protection. All of this was applied with my PC.

Dwane from Premium Auto Care said that the PUPP would bond better to the PPC than to any other polish except for AIO. I would let the PUPP dry for 45 min. to an hour if you have the time.

Here are a couple of pics of my Father's car.
