Placing a BIG order?

Hello to all autopians,

I'll be placing an order soon and was wondering if I could get a few things from different manufactures at one place, or perhaps two places. I would like to keep shipping rates as low as possible being I'll be spending lots.

Meguiar's - #83 DACP, #80 Speed Glaze, and Ultimate QD

Poorboys - SSR 2.5, Pro Polish, Natural Look, Leather Stuff and Spray+Gloss,

Clearkote - Carnauba Moose Wax, Red Moose Machine Glaze, Quik Shine

Optimum - Optimum Polish

Finish kare - Pink wax

blackfire - wet diamond

Is this possible? I do this kind of ordering every 2-3 years, I think I'm going nuts!

PS: Has anyone tried Leather Stuff? How aggressive is Optimum polish compared to say #83 or 2.5?

All your help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

Ed

as far as I know you can only get the Pink Wax from Finish kare

and they have a flat shipping rate of less than $5 so you should grab a gallon of 425 also

Could I pick up these things at one online shop, or maybe two shops?

Do you guys use PC or Rotary with optimum? How aggressive is it?

it looks like you will hv to order from 3 online stores. maybe put a wtb or wtt ad for some items and you might get lucky.

Specialty Motoring Products has everything except meguiars, fk, and blackfire

jshillin, isn't SIP more aggressive then #83?

I am still trying to figure out how aggressive optimum polish is?

It is a little bit, but it is so much easier to use and you can vary it's cut with your pad selection. If you don't need a lot of cut, use a white pad and SIP finishes down LSP ready with both white and orange pads.

Perfect if it a little bit more aggressive then #83, then that exactly what I'm looking for. Still looking to pick up #83.

I can't believe no one has recommended any online shops were I could find the bulk of my products?

It's probably because based on your product choices, you'll need at least 3 sources to buy from. Finish Kare can only be purchased at FinishKare, Blackfire has to be purchased through CMA.

And then you have the problem with the rest of your order because AG carries Meg's, Poorboy's and Optimum, but no Clearkote. Danase carries Clearkote, Poorboy's, and Optimum but no Meg's. And I'm too lazy to find out what the other vendors carries.

In other words, if you're set on these products we assume you've already done your homework on where you can buy them from. You already have the answer to your own question as there's no way possible for you to order from one or 2 places.

Well, you haven't told us exactly what you'll be working on or what you're trying to do.

I have 83 and never use it.

Get SIP 106FF and the PB products from autogeek, use AGO for the promo code and get free shipping.

I don't think you need the 2.5 because the menzerna products will take care of your swirls.

Since your looking at glazes, my favorite glaze is Danase wet glaze that you can pick up at danase.com

Since you want to order the pink wax, I'd get 425 as your detail spray, great stuff!!

PakShak ( Brand Name ) has FK1, Poorboy's, Optimum and ClearKote stuff if you really wanted to use as few places as possible. They also have some Meg's stuff. I've had great service from them. I believe their coupon code is "autopia special " for 10% (might want to check on that though).

PakShak ... ClearKote

Just a note that PakShak can't ship ClearKote out side of Hawaii. Great vendor though, I was very happy with my order through them. From what I have seen, no single vendor sells all brands, so you will not have a simple single order when you are trying to order so many different brands.

Does anyone have a Coupon Code or Promotional Code for Specialty Motoring?

My order is now over $200

I got everything+ a few extra products, except meguiars, fk, and blackfire.

Scott @ SMP has several codes.

svtperformance is 10% off

freeship gets free shipping w/orders over $25

I think he has a current 20% off as a holiday sale as well.

Anyone have an FK1 code?

unfortunately, FK1 doesn't offer discounts, otherwise they would have to raise their prices. they are pretty reasonable anyway, and not to mention they have the $4.99 flat fee for shipping... :up

I could go on forever about what I think you should add to your order, however I will spare you.

One thing you should definitely remove is the clearkote CMW. While I love clearkote as a company due to the kindness of it's owner Everett, CMW in my testing is really not durble at all, I got about a week out of it and I think that was because it rained twice that week. If you want a liquid wax, you are better of with 845 but IMO 915 is superior :)

I have not used many clearkote products except VMW and it's an outstanding product! so CMW if def worth trying IMO.

RON231

I don't usually look for durability in carnauba waxs. It's all about the look! wash it up and wax again. Durability helps, but nothing is like a nice warm dark wet carnauba look, even if you have to wax every month or so.

If I want longer lasting protection I'll use a sealant. Sometimes sealant x2 and then a wax.

SG and UPP get me through winter. Sometime I'll top off with Meg's #16, I found this wax to be pretty durable, and bead like crazy. Sometimes I'll just use S100, and rely on the sealant under it.
