Pinstripe, painted or vinyl?

I'm trying to remove my pinstripe on the car but I'm not sure if it's painted or vinyl. I can feel the pinstripe so I thought it was vinyl, so I tried heating with a blow dryer to peel it off but it wouldn't budge. That lead me to believe it might be painted on instead. The car is about a year old now, but always garaged.

Rub your hand along the edge. If the edge stays consistent it is vinyl. If the width of the color stays consistent it is vinyl. Trm some 3M dissolver.

Painted on stripes are pretty rare. What kind of car?

07 honda...but there have been a quite a few people around me that have painted ones.

On A 07 A Vinyl Stripe Should Come Off Easy. The Stripe Should Be In Good Conditoin. If Its Paint Try Some Laquer Thinner If Your Gonna Polish The Car Afterwards. I Ussally Wetsand Off Most Paint Stripes Because Its Faster And Some Etching Could Be Seen In The Paint!

The thing is, I don't have my PC anymore so I'm hesitant to use lacquer thinner. I doubt I can buff out the haze left behind by hand.

you can rub it out by hand may take a little but thats the price you pay for good results! hard work

alot of people make the mistake of putting a vinyl stripe on but laquer over the top so you cant take it off.
