I could be wrong about who posted that thread.............But there were pics of Zaino vs Souveran on a black reagal-grand national-monte carlo..........a body style like those. Anyone else remember that thread? And for the record, I guessed wrong. I thought the Zaino was Souveran & vise versa. lol. What was funny about that was the fact that I use both products on my black car & I still got it wrong. lol.

Depends. Usually the Zaino car will be noticably more mirror like, almost like the color disappears especially if the vehicle is at an angle (Klasse SG is even more so). Of course, pictures can be tweaked by changing the settings or in photoshop, and in darker lighting, both will look more similar than in bright lighting.
I prefer Souveran on black but that doesn't mean others will.

I'm a fan of Souveran on red and black, it definitely looks amazing IMO.

I am now a HUGE fan of Souveran on Red. John (Eliot Ness) let me borrow his Souveran to use as my LSP on a red 360 Modena I finished a few weeks ago. I used OS (It cured for 24 hours) as a base for the Souveran, and it turned out great! If there is anything that looks better on red, I'd like to see it.

I really liked how it looked on my white '87 VW wagon. Yeah, I used it on my daily dog-hauler back when I had free time
It's one of the few LSPs she can spot on her silver Audi and she liked it better than anything else I use (sorry Accumulatorette, I'm just not gonna re-LSP your driver that often).
On the Jag's ss metallic light gray (almost silver), Souveran just looks *just right* to me. Nothing else gives the same combo of appearance attributes in quite the same way. But I can readily understand somebody else prefering a *different* look.
Oh, and it's *so* trim-friendly! I've been using it on the Jag's exterior rubber/plastic trim since forever with great results.

Glad to hear it works well on a variety of colors. I just acquired a classic garage queen that is light metallic blue / cream white 2 tone. I plan to keep it covered in Souveran since durability isn't an issue.

I have been using Zaino for a while now.
I have used, and have, Souveran and it's nice. I also have used many other waxes including Zymol's Vintage which was supposed to be a HUGE difference in look. It wasn't to my eyes.
What do I use now? Zaino
Why? The other waxes are fun to try out, some of them smell neat... others don't. Some of them have very slight differences in looks but I think you would be hard pressed to pick out one particular wax from another.
I will agree that on certain colors certain waxes do look better--like black. Carnuba Moose looks amazing on a white car... really helps deepen the light color and give it a nice shine. But...
In the end Zaino lasts the longest and looks great and after ZAIO I don't even have to mix up the product anymore... so there you have it
I still stick to the thought of "it's all in the prep."

I prefer the look of a sealant. Although a lot of sealants and waxes mute metallic.
I like Zaino because it doesn't mute metallic . I think 3 of the better carnuba waxes out there are WBW Surluster and CG Petes53. I also have been experimenting with SWAX which is sort of a sealant wax. To me if you like the look of carnuba you will love SWAX and its also awesome on metallic. Souvran is an excellent wax too it just depends on what type of look your after and if durability is a concern.

I agree with your post. I've got Carnuaba Moose and havn't even tried it on the wifes white Volvo. Looking forward to it.
