Pinnacle Souveran Wax

Still wondering if someone can tell me how the Souveran compares to Natty's Blue and P21S? I'm guessing it's worth the step up in price. How do the three compare on dark colored cars? Thanks!

My take is that the PS is deeper, wet looking, and shiner than any you mentioned. I have tried them all on numerous ocassions. Go to the CMA webb site and get the PS. Do a proper prep. And PS will become your favorite for looks. Durability more than 5 weeks sealants are the way to go. Or use Meg. #21 then top with PS.....ZOOM-ZOOM......

I have never used Natty's Blue, but I have used P21S and Souveran. Personally, I've never been terribly impressed with the look of P21S. I don't know why this wax is so popular. It must be the snazzy jar it comes in. :D Souveran leaves a MUCH wetter, deeper, reflective shine than P21S IMO. Souveran is pretty much just as easy to apply/remove as well. Just make sure you don't lay it on really thick and you'll be OK.

I'm not sure if Souveran is still on sale, but if it is I would take advantage of the Autogeek gift certificate sale (25% off GCs over $100). They email you the GC so you can then turn right around and pay for the Souveran with the GC.

I just did that. Thanks!

I was hoping for a "wetter" look than the Natty's Blue was giving me. Thanks for the advice guys. Man that Autogeek cart fills up fast! Haha!

My two favorite waxes for dark cars are Souveran Paste and Clearkote carnauba moose

CM leaves a darker less reflective look then PS, but they both look great on dark cars.

Here is PS on my Yukon

Same here. I tried P21s on the Jag after hearing everybody say how great it was but I was disappointed and wished I'd stuck with Souveran. The P21S was brighter and more refelective while the Souveran gave a deeper, richer look (this stuff is hard for me to verbalize). I can see how some people would prefer the P21S but I go the other way.

Oh, and I've experimented with letting these waxes set up as opposed to using the W-O-W-O method that most people employ with them. NO problems at all as long as I applied it thin, and even a goofy-thick application came off pretty easily. I got slightly better durability when I let it set up before buffing it off, not that Souveran lasts anywhere *near* as long for me as it does for ScottWax no matter how I apply it :nixweiss

Souveran is a show stopper, simply the best carnuaba offering to date. It will need to be reapplied about every four weeks unless using Crystal Mist with it. Do yourself a favor, and use the gift certificate sale, buy one for 100.00 at 75.00, then order them both and you could still add Nattys to the cart as wanted.

P21S is heavy beeswax and montan wax, not known for protection or durability, just nice tight beads.

Souveran is outstanding on black, however, many can't really tell the difference in it and Natty's. The average person wants brightness and reflectiveness and don't necessarily get the idea of Souveran offering warmth and depth.

Souveran only lasts about 4 weeks with regular washings and is greatly aided with the use of Crystal Mist after washings.
