"1. Packaging & Labeling. Is it well packaged? Are the labels durable? The label on each product was real good. Charlie’s soap was the best packed. It had a special little cap that prevents any “spill” if the gallon were fall even it the cap were missing.

2. Helpful instructions on label?

Yes. All the products gave me specific instructions add 1oz (4-5) caps to your wash. I did lees because I did one towel @ a time.

3. Does product do what the manufacturer claims it does?
Yes they all clean & leave the MF soft & clean . Micro-Restore is superior for treating, cleaning and preparing microfibers because it is a powerful degreaser—a strong detergent—with the absence of bleach or fabric softeners, both of which mean a certain slow death to microfibers. Pinnacle, micro-restore-Charlie’s Soap all work to remove every last bit of product that is naturally absorbed by microfibers.

4. Value. Is the product a good buy? If a liquid product, how much per ounce? Does a little go a long way?yes a little goes a long way with all. But with The size that the pinnacle & the Micro-Restore The Charlie is the best Bargain with 128 1oz. washes to the gallon. For 24 Dollars I have more than enough to keep my happy. While with the pinnacle 32.Oz is 18$ the bottle of Micro-Restore is 15$ for a 32oz. the 128Oz Charlie is the top Choice for VALUE!

5. Easy to use? Hard to use? Did you read the directions and use as directed? Yes All are very easy to use. All have directions that are Dummy proof. Its not Rocket science. :coolman:

6. If known, what is the pH of the product? Is it safe for enthusiasts or should it be for professional use only? The products are all safe with Water Softeners to keep your towels, cloth & anything you wash free of water minerals & any bleach. It is safe ebough for a soccer mom to use.

7. Describe the product smell, viscosity and other physical traits if any. Both the Pinnacle & Micro- Restore Are ATROCIOUS! The Charlie’s Soap Actually has no smell that I can recall of. But the smell has no affect on how the product performs.

Third Rinse less Suds. :read: i then did a fourth rinse to release some more suds. I was going to use Distilled Vinegar but i decided to make it this way to see the difference in all the liquids.

Conclusion Each towel is below the product that was used.

All gave me the Same results. The pinnacle & Micro Restore both have less suds to worry of. In fact the Charlie has more which gave me the impression that it is working longer ( which is good to know). The Pinnacle, Micro_Restore are Top notch MF cleaning detergents. but for the VALUE, SIZE, Cleaning, & Convenience. The Charlie's Soap is the winner. In fact the Charlie left my towels just like the others clean free of bleach.

Btw: the softnes on all was the same.

Great eval.:bigups

Charlie's has been on my list for a while and this is further encouragement to get it. After I'm through with my gallons of Melaleuca Mela Power, I'm going to switch over to Charlie's for all of my laundry because it is a lot less of a PITA to get.

Where does charlie live? Who sells charlie?

Thanks for the review. These products do what they say. I enjoyed the pictures of the process. The towels came out well from what looked to be on them. Iinteresting process that provided good results. I enjoyed the pictures of the process.

I'd like to see the same thing next to one with normal soap & OxiClean.

you will get same results. but the reason i did this review with those products is becasue people consider them the best liquids to wash & care for MF. In fact i believe pinnacle, micro-restore- charlie soap, are. :arabia: are the best to care for MF IMO. but i do have to be honest that i screwed up my mega plush towels using regualr liquid, powder type detergents. After numerous washes the MF's begun to get stiff & hard. "Charlie's " keeps my cloth & MF safe.

BTW: I forgot to mention that I used Very WARM watter to rinse the towels. :online2lo

Miami_Sunset...do you think that the claim of restoring MF towels by boiling them in water holds any truth? I ask this because i have used regular detergent and the mf towels did come out rather stiff. These were waffle weave that were older and well used. Have only heard about this technique. Have not employed it myself.

nice review on all 3 products products. you said the CS created more suds.was their any problems rinsing the soap fron the mfs used with the charlie soap.

I ordered and used the pinnacle a couple X this week. The pennacle actually cleaned up the MFs just as the manufactors claim. after washing the mfs their was a nice clean scent and the towels were nice and soft..its nice to know their are 2 other products that work as good

 Positively NO! . I did learn from Adams of ( Adams Polishes ) that rinsing in hot water is better than cold. but in fact boiling them to restore is Fallacious  Minerals in water make your towels stiff. This is why i recommend you use a water softener. ( the Charlie, pinnacle, microrestore, sonus, pak Shak all contain water softeners. :boat: but even this will not guarantee the towels for getting soft. For example, I use my Waffle Weave every week & wash it twice a month. Minerals from water get trapped into the fiber of the towel & after time make it stiff. This will occur much more with Waffle Weaves becasue we use it to dry our cars.
Also I don’t care who or what claims what. But using Expensive MF towels to buff off sealant, waxes or other stuff will damage your towel forever. Not even the products i used will restore them to a new condition ( even if it were the first time using the brand new Plush towel) I have noticed that wax, sealant’s glazes F**k up towels  I have leaned to use a quality 2$ MF towel from SMP to buff off & then use the Plush towels to QD.

Nice write up and pictures.
What were most of the stains on the MF's that hadn't been used in the engine compartment?
They looked pretty nasty to start with and cleaned up quite well.

yes the rinsing of Charlie's is just as easy to rinse the pinnacle & Micro-restore. & yes im also happy that i dont have to buy the expensive gallon of pinnacle Rejuvenator. I was feeling mad knowing that the liquid that cleand my MF was more expensive then the Towels themselves. :beer_smil

Charles, the first yellow MF i had to eliminate because it had Motor oil & other engine crap that i cleaned. It was so bad that not even Simple green or poorboys Spray & rinse could'nt eliminate. This test was conducted with cheap AutoZone MF towels. All the towels were used from engine bay to cleaning rims, tires , wheel well etc...

They definitely turned out much better than I would have guessed from the before pictures. If I put some that looked that bad in my wife's washing machine, she would hurt me.:)
Actually, I probably would have continued to use them on tires and wheel-wells until they got a little worse and then throw them away.

Great review.

I will offer a dissenting opinion however. I find that the Pinnacle and MicroRestore products do a slightly better job of cleaning based on my experience. Just my personal experience. I also find that in a pinch Tide HE in powder form is good.

By the way, I use a Maytag Neptune front loader.

I actually tried it once, I used a couple of old waffle weaves. It did make a difference, but I boiled them in 50/50 flitered water/white vinegar. It took forever, I burned myself, and the kitchen could have been used for military training to show recruits what getting gassed is like. It's much better to just use the right detergents and care for the towels in general.

The pinnacle could get expensive if you use a lot of MFs or run a shop. another thing w/pinnacle it comes with a measuring cup that attatches to the cap,no big deal but it keeps it in a place were it is easy to find.

WOW! This washing machine sounds as if you might need an operator to run that thing.
