Just bought some Fieldcrest 100% cotton bath towels for drying car and buffing for Zaino. Threw them in the washer and dryer. Should I cut the edges off and the decorative band to reduce marring and swirls. Or will the towel unravel into pieces if I do so?

If you cut the edges off you will need to sew the edges using 100% cotton thread to prevent fraying.

I've never cut the edges off of my Royal Velvets and I've never had a problem. If you're careful, the edges will never touch anyway if your towel is large enough.

I cut the edges off of my towels. Than I used my wifes surger and 100% cotton tread to sew them up. If you cut the edges and don't sew them up they will tend to fray. When I cut the edges off I also cut some in half. This made them easier to use.

You don't have to cut the edges off. But, if you don't make sure you fold the towels so the edges don't touch the car's paint. Also make sure you remove all of the tags.

So, I figured what better way to bring a close to my time @ TID then with some pictures of several different makes & models I've worked on during this past year. What you will find, is that I work on some very nice whips, along with some terribly discusting vehicles as well

So, without further delay, I bring you the pictures :wizard:

Oooops, having difficulties resizing the pics. I will try to adjust this soon

Trouble :-B
