Pics of my virgin detail

This was the first for me. The car is a 98 Nissan Altima that looked like it hadn't been washed since the day it was purchased. I washed, waxed, washed again, DACP, and 16'd the car and was pretty happy with the end result. My cutting pad got too dirty and became to hard to work with. Do you guys have extra pads or is there a way to clean one up during the job? The entire job took me about 6 hours. As I get better hopefully things will get easier and faster.

Thanks everyone for advice and help.

Just thought I would help and post the pics for ya!! Looks pretty good. How did it feel to lose your virginity! :D

thanks 04. Why didn't mine work? I must have done something wrong. I never knew cleaning a car could provide such satisfaction. I'm looking forward to doing mine.

When you make a reply. There is a button that says IMG in the box above the reply box. Click that there put in the link to where the pic is, and that is how they post! I think you are using the IMG code, I will paste it here for you. Put this befire and after!!

Put this before the link

**Update** Good job, that's how you post the pics!

Looks nice Cobra. I'm using a PC. Do you have multiple cutting pads when you work on a car or do you have a method for cleaning the pad as your work. The reason I'm asking is that when I was working on this car the pad seemed to redeposit a lot more junk onto the car. I was thinking that maybe it was b/c the car was in particular bad shape.

Well I have a couple of cutting pads. But I don't usually use more than one. I use the Yellow Lake Country cutting pad Variable contact pad. After the pad gets built up with product, about half car, I spray it down with a hose, and put it back on the PC and spin dry the pad. I usually put the PC very low to the ground when spin drying the pad, or else it will go everywhere. Also, with the yellow LC pad, the product cleans out real nice with the power of a hose. I would rec. more than one though. I really like the Meg's pad's for polishing, LC for Cutting, and Sonus for finishing pads!!

any sun pics? its hard to give you advice or compliments with all shade pics... also, make sure to hit up those wheel wells:)

The Altima looks really good! Huge improvement too.

I have about 10 different pads, and I try to make sure I always have 2-3 new pads in case I load one up too much to work with it.
