Pics of my new ride.....

Can we start a poll called "Is this the worst thread ever on DC?"

I will come back and read this thread in a month or two when the pics finally show up.

The Fuzz has spoken, so in order to speed things up so no smoothness is lost ;), here is a summary:

It is a 4-door Asian import that is not a Honda or Toyota. It is not a luxury brand, Scion or even a Schwinn.

Hints:

It is a well-valued car that comes standard with all sorts of goodies that are normally optional on most ANY other brand (including European imports and domestics) in it's class.

The vehicle is a definite sleeper with a 2.3L 16v DOHC engine 155hp/152tq and a tight 5-speed in a package that is almost completely ignored by the aftermarket/tuner crowd.

It is a direct relative of a vehicle that is world renown for high performance/motorsports, but in itself is almost unknown.

Don you are tricky!!

I'm going to say Suzuki Aerio as well but I failed to think the direct relative to a high performance motorsport car. But then I realized Suzuki motorcycles... they sure are high performance and championship winners. Trying to trick us with crossing the border from cars to bikes .

2006 Suzuki Aerio ??

We have a winner. It was the only sedan left on the lot, the rest were the SX 'cross-over' wagons and there were NO other manual trans cars to be found. It's 'racy red' with the only 'missing' option that I would like to have is the rear spoiler...partially to help see where the trunk ends so I don't back into anything.

The tires are 15", but look a lot smaller, giving the car a bit of a goofy look.

Yes I have already done a 'mini' detail with AIO topped with Collinite 746s. The car really showed the neglect of sitting on the dealer's lot for a long time and the AIO cleared the finish right up. Surprisingly, I got a bit of red on the polishing pad, but not as much as you would associate with BC paint, perhaps it's a tinted clearcoat? My Father-in-Law does have my camera, so it may be a few days before I can get some pics up.

dude i think you burned a hole in the clear coat

That is impossible with Klasse AIO.

It could be the tinted CC and a little oxidation coming off from the delear neglect.

Congrats again on the new ride.

I don't believe so either. There is no way that only a mild buffing with AIO, it's not like I took a heavy cut cleaner on a rotary. Although it's been a long time since I've really dealt with a straight BC paint job, it should be no big deal. I'll just have to make sure I stick with non-abrasive chemical cleaners and quality LSP's.

Mod your Suzuki to this!

Although I am partial to the color, I'm not big on the wagon/hatch and that bumper cover is a bit too flamboyant for me. I prefer sleek and subtle.
