Nice little ride when I met my wife she had one just like it. I put wider rims on it and upgraded the radio. Lots of fun in that little car!

Thanks

Yeah, I have wider 16" wheels but they are on silver rims and I like the black rims on this car with the black trim for some reason. I might try and paint them and see how that comes out.

This was supposed to be the car I did not spend money on but I ended up dropping it with some sleeved cilovers and Tokico shocks, got a front and rear strut bar, 4-2-1 DelSol header, Hurst short shifter and urethane bushings, and swapped the 4 speed for a 5 speed. Now I think I want to keep it for an engine swap. :lol

Nice Civic. Thought about doing an engine swap in my 92 but haven't found a cheap donor yet. Wanted to drop in an H22, but now considering one the K engines. Hear the car will do low 14s easy with that engine swap, but it will be a handfull on the street.

Yeah, engine swaps are nice in these light cars...and H22 would be very nice but a K series would rock!

andriver...That was my main reason for keeping it ;)

2001civicex,

How did the handling clean up with the coilovers? I'm thinking about roll bars if there are any aftermarket ones. Kinda don't wanna get the ride too harsh with stiffer springs, but the car does roll quite a bit in the turns. Hoping roll bars get it to the point I want.

I noticed the bigest difference with my rear strut bar. But that is expected with a hatch. When you say roll bar do you mean sway bar? A sway bar would help VERY nice. I installed one on my 2001 Civic and the body roll reduced BIG time. My coupe is on stock suspension minus a Progress 22mm rear sway bar and it came with a rear lower tie bar. The car handles much better. My next plan is a set of Tein H. Tech springs. They only lower .75 inches but leave the nice stock ride and won't have me scraping all the time.

Thanks, I did mean the sway bars. In your opinion, what one component contributed the most to the handling? Seems like its the rear sway bar, but figured I'd ask.
