Pics! New combos! Look!

That Menzerna is new and AFAIK only available here.

We also have the other 'grey' mild polish as you do, but this one is supposed to be a glaze without silicones or abrasiveness.

Our rep couldn't tell much about it so I emailed Jeff from Menzerna USA asking for more information but he never replied me. Guess he doesn't know it neither.

I like it very much, it leaves a crispy squeaky clean surface, ready for any LSP.

Scott, great job as-well. Know I just want to see your results with the 3M-FG topped with S100. :bow

Scottwax- Heh heh, what Mr. Clean said about the snow down there.

Your work always impresses upon ME that it IS the DETAILER, not the products that makes all the difference. Your work looks great whatEVER you're using.

How do you like the look of the #16? Please be as critical as possible...

Very shiny as always. :xyxthumbs

Not too familar with US automobiles, but wish we had some of 'em in the UK!

What's the first white vehicle at the beginning of the page? It looks bigger than my house! :D

Thats a Dodge Ram pickup ;)

Great work Scott!

Sorry for the quick highjack, but Mr Clean showed an interest in snow, so here is a pic from a friend in Canada. This happened two days ago and since this pic was taken they've gotten over a foot MORE, with even more coming down. CITIES ARE SNOWED IN!!. She said you can't even see the roof anymore. BTW, the car is a Dodge Neon.

If I lived where your friend does, Don, my username would be thinksun.

It looks like *someone* strayed from their use of Armor All on the tires...

Uh, no I didn't. Armor All on all those tires.

I'm always amazed with your impact on white. As to the inevitable questioning about pure EX--you've said that it is as easy as regular EX and should last longer without the carnuba but did you notice that it had any cleaning properties? This seems as though it would be a great thing (once it's available) to use on light cars over VM, assuming it doesn't remove the fillers in my new favorite CK product.

Whatever cleaning properties it may have would be due to the carriers rather than the intent of the product. Most liquids waxes/sealants will remove light tar, for example.

I don't notice any abrasive characteristics and it does have minor filling properties.

Thanks -Great pictures - I think like most here I really look forward to seeing your work and listening to your thoughts.

Maybe you have said it before - but do you have a favorite combination of products - for light colored cars vs. dark colors ?

Thanks again

I like to experiment a bit, but I tend to stick with carnaubas for dark colors and sealants on light colors although #20/#16 look equally good on both black and white. VM/S100 look great on silvers.

Really nice pictures of the snow. Is that creek in Arlington? I can see pictures of clean cars any day, but in my life I can recall only 3 snows like that!

Any comments on camera settings/film?

I took this pics at River Legacy Park in Arlington (the one I skate at). A branch of the Trinity runs through it.

I used Kodak's High Definition ASA 400 film. Definitely the finest grained 400 film I have ever used. I shot the pics at 1/60th sec at about F22. I wanted some motion in the water so that is why the slower speed. None of those pictures were cropped, I try to get it right through the viewfinder since I don't have my own photolab and enlarger to play with.

It has a very wet look. Wetter than S100 but not as highly reflective. It is also just as easy to use.

Oh yeah, a couple more snow shots while I am at it!

I would say yes. Though I'm no art critic, I know what I like and I like what I see. :up

Don M,

Seriously, I remember only 3 snow events in my life (1/2 a century) growing up here in the D/FW area. They usually last about like this last one, where any evidence is completely gone within a day or two. Ice is a different issue, we seem to attract one of those (ice storms) each year. Still within 3-5 days the slush and mush is only a memory.

Snow is beautiful, but it might not be if I experienced it more often :)

Been there, done that, bought the T-shirt and DON'T WANT ANOTHER

Grew up in Manitoba (snow like the Neon pix every year), 11 years in Calgary (where one year the warmest it got in a 6 week stretch was -20F), migrated to Denver in '82 (still buckets of that white crap) and Houston in '86 (YAY - only enough snow in all that time to make one snowball, coldest I've see is about 22 F if I remember correctly)

I definitely prefer "10 months summer and JulyAugust" to "9 months winter and 3 months poor skiing"!

David Blaine does seemingly amazing things with ordinary everyday products (cards, quarters). I use Armor All but have never been able to pull off that look, nor gotten the durability you have claimed in the past with it. A veiled compliment, nothing more:D
