Pics, my next car

This was a labor of love. I'm getting the turbo model coming out this fall, I have my name on 6 dealers lists, the first one who will sell it at sticker, gets my check. HP goes up to 250 from 170 on the standard model. it will be a nice fun weekend car, I figure I should spend some of my money I'm making detailing right? Since this car was driven from Texas, it needed some TLC. First inspection of the car showed more than usual contaminants. Procedure was as follows: Hand wash with regular car wash soap (two bucket method, one for the suds, other for rinsing) using a micro fiber wash mit. Clayed the car (it needed it bad) wash again. Dried with waffle weave MF towel. Removed two plastic tape pieces on the under side of car using solvent cleaner and some goo gone. Next, using my DAPC and a polishing pad, I aplied a cleaner/polish (can't mention brand for obvious reasons)....since the clay removed the contaminants from "ON" the finish, the cleaner polish brought the depth, shine and reflectivity back "INTO the finish....finished with sealant ( I also can't mention) to"lock in" the look I was going after. The tires got an application of a water based Dressing, and the chrome wheels had poly seal applied. As always, I only use MF towels to remove polish and sealant from the finish. Thanks George for the honor, I can't wait to get mine.

The car looks great, but I have to ask . . . what are the "obvious reasons"?

I don't think I've ever seen a thread on here with someone refusing to state what materials they used.

Ahh, okay :) It all makes sense now.

Great car and detail, Gary! I've seen a few on the street now, hard to believe that Pontiac could come out with a car that beautiful!

I can hardly wait to see your turbo version. :)

That and the Saturn are both actually Opel GT. I wish they could of just brought the GT over here because I really like that design the best of the three. http://www.opel.com/flash.html

^ Thanks for the link Bob, That Opel is stunning...However I am pleased the vehicles Saturn and Pontiac put out as well. I cant wait to see some of those Sky's on the road this summer...and then the Turbo Solstice! :wow:

Bob,

The Saturn and the Opel have exactly the same body.

Minor differences (twin exhausts, etc. are content related).
