Wow...what a long day. 6.00am for placement, frantic cleaning for 3 hrs, then I had to judge for 4 hrs.....as such I didn't get a chance to take many photos.



It was a very big turn out...not sure how many cars we had in the end (I heard 100?), but all I know is that in Wash and Shine - Div 2 (all air cooled except 356), I had to judge 19 cars!



Ended up winning Street Div 7 (Boxsters), but a few too many deductions and ended up 0.3 behind the Street Class winner............always next week (Los Angeles Concours)

Hey JB I looked for you but could not find you anywhere. You being a judge explains it! I loved that silver Speedster in the back row by the tent and I hope the owner didn't have trouble wiping off my drool. :D



It was a great show and a really great turnout. I was suprised to be honest, had no idea how many car nuts there are in these parts and the knowledge to back it up.



I ended up placing 2nd in post war German cars (street class) which was cool. I know that I have a LOT of work to do to take home a first place trophy......someday.;)



I was actually surprised because they did look at the wheel wells and undercarriage quite closely which I thought wasn't judged in street class. :nixweiss I'll be ready next time.

Yes that is different from Porsche Street Class.



I assume they also judges engine and trunks as well. Leads me to wonder what the difference between Street and Full Concours is?
 
JB your absolutely right, they did judge the trunk and engine bay. Actually I think it was the engine bay that did me in. My engine bay has some cosmoline that is baked on and I have yet to determine a safe way to remove it.

Oil-Flo Safety Solvent is great for removing cosmoline. :up A lot of Boxsters get it on the inside of the rims.

You need to keep it away from anything that is glued down, because if you get Oil-Flo on it, it won't be glued down for long :o
