Picnic with Poorboy and friends

Any updates Nick? As of now let's all plan for Saturday with Sunday as the rain date....remember it's sort of a pot luck food feast so plan on bringing something and maybe awd330 will keep a running list so we don't duplicate too much stuff:)

1. awd330 +1, hotdogs, hamburgers, buns, assorted chips
2. Beercan31, cheesecake & water
3. Focusedonsound, soda & spinach dip

7. JRdetailerwoman
8. mgm2003 +1
9. Poorboy +3, split items with awd330 above
10. Scott P, barbecue grill

We need volunteers for the following -

Plates/cups/napkins/plastic silverware
Ice
Sandwich “fixings” (condiments, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, etc.)

Steve,

I haven't had the opertunity to get over there! Its crunch time here at work! So Ive been working some pretty hellish hrs. Either which way the hell all ends on thrusday and I think that I am taking friday off! So I intend to go over there then! Sorry for the delay guys but I will get there!

It's not a big deal Nick, I've brought a few dozen people there without any notice and they never said anything:dunno we are all just regular people meeting at one place..pay the park entrance fee, obey the rules, have a good time:D

We're one month away from the picnic event. Any news regarding the venue or attendees & item volunteers?

[See post # 63 above for the most recent headcount and list of items.]

Today i took the family to the park and had a fun day in the water and in the sand:) Discovered the north part of the park thanks to awd330's map.
this was a much quieter lake and a lot less crowded...more parking and plenty of picnic tables to be found. The beach was practically empty and there were parts were no one was using at all. There was also a basketball court, tennis courts, and much easier access to bathrooms:D
The down side to this part is that there are no diving boards, for those of you who want to dive and the deep water is somewhat limited, but it was much more family friendly:dunno
Admission says $15 for adults out of state, but they don't really notice plates and charged only $10...kids 5-12 are $6 but children under 5 are free. The police are there at the entrance and will confiscate all alchohol if you try to bring it in and they do search your coolers...they didn't bother with mine as i told them we didn't have any alchohol and I guess I have an honest face:D
Overall we had fun in the water with the kids, many large groups were having BBQ''s all over and we got a little sun burned and had a nice lunch and snack there. Looking forward to having a fun time next month:hippi

Last I saw it was planned for Saturday the 20th with a "rain date" (what's that :dunno) of Sunday the 21st. :)

Man I would love to make this gtg.

Mahwah is where I grew up. Its funny to see you guys talking about Darlington. :rofl

I can't make it that weekend tho in August sadly. :( If there is a rain date I can possibly make it tho. I will keep an eye on this thread.

Back from my cruise and returned to work on 08/02 just so I can go to Rhode Island and rollout a new Target store in Lincoln. I'm stuck up here until 09/01 until turnover to Target.

Damn, I'd love to attend! If I can just get away from this state I would! Smallest state in the union, and you ned a license just to tie your shoe! I need a license to install networking equipment.. go figure!

I hope to escape from here and would love to show, but it doesn't look good as this store is behind schedule in fixtures which also slow/stop me from my job.

All I hope is that all of you have a good time!

Regards,
Deanski

Liz and I will be bringing baked beans and coleslaw as "side dishes". If desserts are needed at the end, we can help out.

Do we know if pets are aloud? We would like to bring Buckley :).
