I was excited to try it out and see how it does in the upcoming rain since it rains alot here in Western Washington. I prepped and applied per the directions given in the box.

My thoughts so far...well its been raining alot so far since I put it on and its okay but Im very used to the water shooting off my car with my Gtechniq Exo V2 at low speeds and staying dry while driving when its raining. I did notice that the Nitro Seal did a nice job and the water beads were alot bigger then Exo V2 and shed the water off the hood at about 45-50mph compared to about 30mph with my Gtechniq Exo V2. Im not dissapointed at all since I wanted something in my middle of the road protection under my Gtechniq protection packages. So far I think Nitro Seal will work but I do think the price is kinda high for the proformance of the LSP. I personally think $40-$50 is a better price range for this product.

How are the looks? The strength of HDNS is supposed to be the gloss and looks. It isn't really a coating but more of a hybrid wax sealant.

Im not being negative towards Nitro Seal since its a different product then the Gtechniq coatings I use. I will use it when Im not using coatings.

Maybe not the most cost-effective alternative? Once you open the bottles, you have a shelf life of 1 week.

$60 for 2-3 applications is $20-$30 per car, which makes it way more expensive then coatings, waxes, or any sealants.

Even if I keep it in the Fridge? If the shelf life is that short I will just stick to Gtechniq C2V3

My thoughts exactly. I really like HD products, but have stayed away from Nitro Seal for this very reason. HD Poxy is the way to go as far as the 3D/HD line goes.

You know Nitro Seal is not a coating of any sort. I've used it and it does give off nice gloss but for the price Poxy is 60$ for a gallon and looks only marginally less glossy. Only thing with Poxy is it only last like 6 weeks. If you want something that's really awesome and with good durability and IMO the best thing to use if your not coating a car I'd pick up some Black Fire Black ICE. This is stuff is a rock star for the 1 step jobs and I really feel like I'm giving the customer an exceptional value. I finish all my basics details with it and I've had the same pot for like 10 months still half full. It looks great on all colors, fills a little bit, and even completely neglected will hold up very well. Just my 2 cents for what its worth.... We only do like a 100 1 step jobs a month and I've tried just about every wax out there. Black ICE by far the best value for my customers. For quicky just like wash/clay wax services when a customer is being cheap POXY fills more than anything I've ever seen. Only down side is you really need to let it sit on the paint 30 min or so. We only do this to cars that really should be polished but customer doesnt want to. Other than that Clay/ Car Pro Hydro h20 is awesome for quick turn around cars.

I don't think he likes hydro. He loves then hates so many, it's tough to remember

Yeah, Probably won't listen to me... It's not like I run a 90k a month detail shop with a stellar reputation, that literally had a 200% growth from the first year it was open to the second. What do I know....

Thats pretty funny. Well its been raining and the Nitro Seal is doing well but Im still not sure on its durability up here in WA with all the rain. I took a chance but with alot or customers I believe Gtechniq C2V3 is my best options since I can use it 3-4 times a day and it will last about 3 months before I run out and I know the durability is 8 months +.
