I agree. If your looking for nice automotive shots the best time to go is half hour before sunrise or half hour after sunset. Thats when you get the nicest light. If you look at my RSX photoshoot in my sig, that was a little after sunset. My car was pretty dirty and had lots of swirls, I did a QD and my car looks amazing. If your trying to document a detail the best light is direct sunlight; no shadows and if your forced in a garage due to weather just use a flash or a halogen to "show" what you did.
