Pet Peeves, Anybody Else Have Any.....

My neighbor uses those when he washes, been meaning to try them

If you've ever given a cord or hose a big, sweeping yank to dislodge it while steamed because of another hung up cord/hose and whacked something you wished you wouldn't have you'll quickly see hose blockers aren't an expense, they're an investment in sanity. When washing in the garage I only have occasion to drag the hose around the front, always use two blockers. When polishing I drag cords all over the place so block all 4 tires.

My #1 wintertime pet peeve: When someone drives over fresh snow on my driveway before I have a chance to shovel it. Unless I go out there with a garden hoe that stuff is impossible to shovel off! (I just spent an hour shoveling...)

A spade might be an easier tool for that chore.

One man's peeve is another's bonus. I've got a 500+ ft gravel driveway that snakes back into the woods. With a 4x4 I can wait for it to build up before digging out the snowblower and not worry about getting stuck. Even with the blower skids raised I sometimes find gravel flying when I hit a high spot. If the driveway freezes or gets packed down uniformly before the first blower exercise of the season everything works fine. I try to make tracks different places in order to spread out the packing so I don't spend all Spring picking up gravel flung far and wide. A packed down driveway can be a good thing. :hurray:

It was soft and squishy after a lot of rain last fall before the first big snow and the ground was still warm. I figure I'll be picking gravel til about June before I can mow...

Wonder how much it'd cost to pave 500 ft x 14' wide?

- when some people at the gym go in the jacuzzi and/or pool in clothing that's not swimming attire...

- not receiving napkins when going through fast food drive-thru...

-receiving change back that's mainly singles or coins...

This can happen with most any car especially if you use just an open drain pan where the filter can slip into the pan and oil splashes everywhere. I now use one of those enclosed drain pans so you can store it in the drain container if I do not have an empty gallon jug.
