Pet Peeves, Anybody Else Have Any.....

I have a 1993 VW Corrado with black leather seats.

The seats are starting to fade a little. Can they be re-dyed? What are my options for making them dark again?

Thanks!

Yes the leather can be re-dyed. Also, it can be sanded with sandpaper to remove any creases or cracks in it before re-dyeing. Find a good leather/upholstery shop in your area. I think there are kits that you can do it yourself, but it can get kind of messy.

You can redye vinyl. In fact, you can even buy "spray paints" to radically change the color of your vinyl dash if you want.

I Went to Kroger(Grocery Store) on Saturday afternoon and man was it packed :out:
Anywho, after driving my basket thru the store with all the skills of Jeff Gordon I manage to gather the 10 or so items in about 6 minutes flat

I get to the self check-out lane and lo and behold theres a line snaking all the way to frozen food section

Anywho, it finally starts moving at a decent pace, but then this lady thats in front of me gets to the check-out. She smiles this pitifull smile and quotes: "I've never used self check-out".....I'm sure the look on my face was priceless

It ends up taking this lady a solid 5-7 minutes to get 8 items scanned and payed for. Meantime she keeps looking back at everyone saying how sorry she was

Why do ppl use these lanes when the store is extremally busy if they have never used one before

I have a few other peeves that have happened to me as of late I will post Was wondering if anyone else suffers from this condition

Look forward to all response :toetap05:

when i see people litter (especially from a car) that is a big pet peeve of mine. sometimes i wish i was an officer so i could write them a ticket, and make them go pick up whatever they littered. one of my friends (doesn't give a you know what about anything these days) said a long time ago, "it doesn't matter, it ends up in one big pile or small one". Stop  it's amazing some of the people's mannerisms these days, especially at the store...

I have so many theres no way I could name them all. A few biggies:

-When people lean on other people's cars

-When people park right next to you when you are in the back of the parking lot and there are a million other spots they could have chosen

-Drinking and driving, also texting and driving

-Most of the people who shop at Wal-Mart

-When you are carpooling with people (and you are the one driving) and they take 5 minutes to get out of the house, while you sit there idling and wasting gas

-People who are loud and obnoxious in public places

When guys at the gym stare at themselves in the mirror constantly

When guys at the gym put on squat suits to squat 315lbs... unless your a professional powerlifter or can squat at least 600lbs do not wear a squatting suit... you just look like a *****

When guys at the gym throw weights down to emphasize how much they were pushing

Im sorry this is just a recap of my night, saw all the above and it bothered the piss outta me.

Oh also, detailers who try to discredit your work and then go right around and copy your product and process step by step... hence why my writeups will be having less information in them in the future!

I'm sure I have a pretty long list, but BigAl's littering and this one from bigpoppa
-When people park right next to you when you are in the back of the parking lot and there are a million other spots they could have chosen
are pretty good ones. That last one is just very perplexing to me...why with countless empty spaces would anyone deliberately choose to park next to another car. The first goes to another pet peeve and that is lazy and/or slovenly people.

"Timid, over-educated drivers" in the left hand lanes of the freeway who cant hear the line of cars behind them honking, because they have NPR on full blast...
Sometimes I wish I had a .50cal machine gun mounted in the grill.. :)

Oh and yeah, the people I saw at the last Walmart I went into in Folsom, CA., several years ago.. yeah I know what you mean... This group must have been scraped off the bottom of the southernmost gene pool if there ever was.

I mean, how many disposable diapers does it take to completely litter up a 1,000 car parking lot???? Come on, people, get a grip, change your baby inside the car and either keep the dirty diaper or at least make it to the trash can outside the dang store........

Street Dreams,

I am sorry that you are not going to post up your detailing processes any longer..
It is some wierd lame way of flattery I guess, that hackers decided to steal your process and make it theirs..

Can you perhaps send the real deal to a few of us via a PM and we will PM it around to each other??

Thanks again for all the awesome work you do and the extra time involved to photograph it, download the photos, edit them and post them..

Someday, I will be luck to be able to do just that... :)
