Personal site updates.

Very Nice Site, I like it.

Do you store many waxes bought by your clients?

I also noticed your Window Title tag still has Untitled in it, might want to put in something else.

<title>Untitled</title>

Personally I think I might lose the part where you apply the wax with your bare hands. I am just not a huge fan of this and in the long run it could have bad effects on your skin.

Other than that I think it looks great. :)

Thanks Bob, glad someone is reading the text!

I will update the title, I had to get on a train, work was slow this morning, so I built the site.

I only store 1 wax, I just started to do it a week or so ago. I'm sure by the summer there will be a few in there besides mine.

I like the site layout and graphics...I think that the information is VERY helpful as well. I'm not sure how many people will take the time to read it though, maybe add some pictures in between the text? Also, when I open the gallery, the picture pops out to the left and out of your site's frame. I like that it's easy to use and neat. Good Luck!

Vapor cleaning is the most effective chemical free method of cleaning most surfaces. Oils and debris are dissolved instantly by the vapor and wiped away with a microfiber towel. Water is pressurized and heated to 300 degrees Fahrenheit to produce vapor which is injected on to the surface to dissolve contaminants. No chemicals are used; the heat kills bacteria and allergens, leaving the surface clean and 100% pure. The heat also opens the pores of the leather to allow greater and more rapid absorption of our specialized hand applied leather feeding oils. Vapor cleaning is used by restoration specialists to restore surfaces damaged in a fire or flood.

Site looks great! What did you use to create it?

Also, the bold sentence seems irrelevant to me. It really doesn't mean anything in terms of detailing. If I am thinking about having you detail my car, why do I care if vapor cleaning is how they restore burned/flooded surfaces? My car isn't burned/flooded. The other stuff is great. That sentence just threw me off a bit.

I'm going to be the sour apple of the group. Anytime I create something, flyer, business card, or whatever, I try and look at it in a customers perspective. Then again, the customer is the one that matters...so if its easy navigation and great information, your one up on everyone else.

Heres some constructive criticism:

1. The pictures looks great...good shadowing and stuff, but try this out....if your good in photoshop this may look really cool and realistic...take that same image on your home page and p-shop a rotary buffer and a bottle of polish next to it...this give the customer when they first see it, "oh this car was just detailed cause of the buffer and polish sittig next to it...its hard to explain without showing, send me the image and I can do a quick sketch of what Im talking about. Thats thinking out of the box, instead of just pasting a picture on a background.

2. What caught my eye also, is your name. Looks like a simple text from Microsoft Word. Change it up...give it some "pop"...to me, it doesn't stand out enough. The car catches my eye, not your name. Thats not what you want...you want people to see your name first...then the sick lambo with YOUR polisher next to it!

3. Your menu bar...too small, increase the size alittle, and keep it yellow.

4. " Taking Auto Detailing to the Next Level"...seems like a "slogan" to me...so make it a slogan...underneath the lambo in the white area, put it there in quotes and again, make it POP...or try it up at the top right...in the black. Just a thought.

5. One thing that bugged me alittle, when I clicked on "process" a window pops up over the lambo. At the top where the text starts..no indent or anything! Make it easy for the customer to read...also put "Process" really large at the top, so that way, they know, "ok, this is the process" When I went to click"products" the next text loaded in the window...but most people wont notice. Again, label that "Products" at the top. And do that to all the menus.

Over all, great idea, If that was my site, I would do all of the following...or play with it alittle to see what I think looks good. Remember, you might like something one way, but if your customer can't navigate or get confused...your failed.

Let me know if you try it...if you want more tips, i'm full of them...shoot me pm...

Agreed 5IVE Pics will come, I unforutnatly cant get back on Linux hosting intil March 13! No mysql right now. I dont expect many to read the test, I just want it there for those 4-5 rare customers that will read it and share the info with a friend.

hockeyplaya- I did it in phpED, I can code html and php, now aincent languages.

I have a graphic designer working on a proper logo. This is the color and font, just not the finished product.

Look at these banners.

The slogan has been revised, but the images are the same.

I need the mysql db up so I can use the RSS, news, and photo feeds. I'm going to add another page just for pictures until I can change my hosting. 1and1 will only let you change plans one time in 30 days. I made a mistake when ordering....

Ok...

I just did this real quick in pshop hahaha, looks kinda funky...but you get the idea...if done correctly...it could look really good...:woot:

haha, do you see where im going with that though?? It gives you that personal touch...but people think it was "just" detailed...

I think I might use this idea for myself...hahaha, kidding!

Thanks for reading it. Most people jsut look for pictures. I am developing the gallery this week. It should be ready for Monday. I'm setting it up like a Car and Driver review write-up. I'll become a sponsor on some of the sites I like so I can link back to it with out hassle. Not the best budgeting idea, but I don't do this for money.
