Permanent Tire Shine

Trouble

I see many companies have introduced a Permanent Tire Shine to their line up. Tell me your thoughts and concerns about a product such as this

It is total bull as are many of your posts......but I enjoy them, lifts me spirits.

Agree.... however they are permanent as long as you keep putting on a fresh application every week or two

Thanks for the input guys. From what I've been reading this latest goop (Armor-All/Turtle Wax) won't come off the tire no matter how hard you try. Something about that doesn't sit well with me

Have not jumped on the permanent tire shine wagon. I have been using opti bond gel with a carrand tire applicator brush. I LOVE THE RESULTS!

I use Tuff Shine. It's expensive. I don't care - I'd pay twice as much. Basically, you never have to scrub or dress the tires. They look good always. Topping them is just an option whenever. No scrubbing old greasy dressing off of tires - ever. It's the only option for a daily driver as far as I'm concerned.

Anything labeled Turtle Wax I don't mess with. I don't trust that company - for all I know the stuff probably puts holes in your tires or causes them to rot. I can't see the average TW customer being too picky, so I can't see them spending a lot of time or $$$ trying to get any product perfect for a detailing enthusiast type.

Tuf Shine has lasted over 6 months for me, but the looks simmer down about after 2 months. The benefit, once the looks have disipated, is that it only takes soapy water to clean the tires completely. Apply more Tuf Shine (easy to do) and the looks come back completely.

Why only 6 months? Because then I scrubbed it off to try something else, of course!

It is stunning at the number of pages = people posting up comments on this crapola in the first place....

Posting pics of my greasy/shiny tires ???? Really ???? :) :) :)

Obviously, no one works for a living....

Some peeps like shiney tires Dan! I liked the look of 1 or 2 coats and someday may try that crapola.:lol2:

+1 vote for Tuf Shine :bigups
Applied it 5 weeks ago and since then I just use soap and water to clean the tires with the weekly wash, no need to scrub and dress anymore..
Problem is, I have full 32oz bottle of Opti-Bond and 16oz bottle of Zaino Z16
I'll try using them on top of Tuf Shine :)

I actually enjoy properly cleaning my tires and applying a nice coat of water based tire gel of my choice after every wash.

Im tired of dressing my tires. I have found a tire dressing that least almost 3 weeks but still would love a more permanent solution. I hate dry looking tires!

My experience is that applying another dressing on top of Tuf Shine causes the newly applied dressing to "bead up" and streak. Good luck.
