Perfect-It 3000 Ultrafina SE 06068. Is this the right one?

I apologize if this has been asked and answered. I did a brief search and didn't see it anywhere...



As the title says, did I get the right stuff? 3M's product line names are almost as confusing as Menzerna. It's like they have the same stuff relabeled under a bunch of diferent names.



Edit: I also got three of the eight inch 3M blue waffle finishing pads. The place I ordered from didn't show the size of the pad on the web page. Does anyone know where you can get this pad in a smaller size? I really don't like using 8 inch pads.
 
I bought some of the 8" pads also...and I took a pad of the size I wanted in my stock and traced it on the bigger one and cut it to size...either use a sharp razor or a good heavy pair of scissors...



After cutting them I had no problems ..some of the blue pads are flat and some cupped so the plate fits in the cupped area...I have both and cut them...I cut them to 6"....

I never liked the 8" pad either untill I used the 3M blue 8". I have the ones with the flat velcro back. Try them out on a few cars before you cut them up. I would not mind cutting one down to a 7". :)
 
I'll give the 8 inchers a shot, then. Then if necessary, use AL-53's cut down technique. Never would have thought about cutting them down...

You got the right one. Part # 06068 is the Ultrafina SE 1 quart bottle. I'm looking at my bottle right now and it says "06068".



The UF polishing pad (light blue) is available in the US ONLY in the 8 inch size. The smaller 6 inch ones are only available in Europe at this time, at least the last time i checked.

Have you tried the 5 1/4" 3M black waffle pads with UF.....?



Those are also pretty soft and come in pretty handy in tighter spots.....

Never used those but I use the 6" green P2 pads or I do have a few of the euro 3M blue 6" pads for the tight areas. I also have some 4" white and black CCS for the tight areas. ;)
 
Not a huge fan of the 8" pad but it flat works. I've also used UF with a 6.5" blue Propel pad. Seemed to work just fine.
