PDR Candidate?

Came out of the grocery store to find the worst an autpian can find, worse than my wife running away. The dent is below the mirror in the center of passenger door. Do this look like a paintless repair? No paint broken, the scuff marks came off with clay. Not a real deep dent, but unacceptable to me. And no the person did not stop or leave info.

I think it can, I had one a little bigger then that on my fender, just above the crease and was able to get it out for $35 from a PDR Meet

I know who did it. I don't know her name, but it's the same middle-aged fat woman. She drives a Chrysler minivan with peeling clear coat and she opens her door by kicking it open her tree trunk sized leg. I've seen her many times, but I don't know her name.

She got my wife one time. Looked like a hatchet was taken to the door. Sortof like yours, but worse. I popped it out fairly well with one of those hot glue screw things. You can get them from Oreillys. Good luck. If I catch her, I'll post her name and address here.

I've had worse on my rear quarter panel removed by PDR. Should be no prob. Just another reason to park in the south forty; my wife and I just look at it as a form of exercise. Just be careful this time of year w/ flying baskets!

I always park away from the crowd, especially the lady mentioned above, but this time someone had the same idea who didn't care about others. By the way, killing is legal, right?

You should be fine with PDR. Sometimes, if the dent is on a crease, or near an edge, it can pose a problem. In your case, it is right in the middle of a panel, so they should be able to knock that right out (no pun intended).

That should come right out. If not, you'll most likely be painting from the fender all the way to the back door to make sure of a proper paint match.

PDR should do it. I know the feeling. The same thing happen to me and on the same area as in your car. It happened the very same week I purchase my car, a Lexus ES350:hairpull. Talk about feeling frustrated and angry. The dent was fixed and the scratch polished out with no need to paint.

I've been to my local PDR guy plenty of times. I pay him lunch for my repairs... after coming to him dozens of times. I'd die if he's not around because I'll have to pay full price.

Anyways, that's a nice sized dent and they should be able to repair that in a matter of mins.

Oh man, that is the worst feeling. I walked out to my condo garage to find a dent in my door. My neighbor opened their door into mine. They have a Chevy Avalanche so the lower corner of the rear door is all that hit leaving a quarter size dent. No note. When I confronted them about it they denied it, but we have assigned parking so it couldn't have been anything else.

I can't believe people these days. No consideration of other people's property.

That dent will be an easy fix. I still need to get mine fixed. No moola though.

Not to worry, if I'm on the jury you'll be acquitted.

A couple of weeks ago some scumball threw a golf ball sized rock at my house. Missed the picture window, bounced off the porch roof and landed. you guessed it, right in the middle of the hood of my 06 Tundra ! The paint on the truck was perfect. I hope his arm rots and falls off !

An updat for you, I went to 3 local body shops and all 3 said that it had to be repainted. Theysaid if it was just pushed out, it would not be a perfectly smooth surface. Quotes were from $600 to $771, tax included. Ouch!

I'm sure 1 of those bodyshops has a PDR guy come in for dents. That's crap. You need to find a PDR guy to do that. It's going to take several mins to fix that, and you don't need a paint job for that.

Look on youtube. Some of those guys fixed dents that were a foot in diameter, and on a crease no less.. To me compared to bigger dents I've seen fixed, that will be a easy fix..

What's hard to tell from the pictures is whether or not the dent makes much of a crease. If it does, I think it's harder to make perfect.

There is a slight crease there. Does that make a difference to those of you who said it should be an easy fix? Should there be no visible signs of the dent from a PDR? I have to go to Halifax Friday so maybe I will see if there is a Dent repair shop there as opposed to a body shop.

depends, alot of body shops just want the money. a PDR guy can most likely get that 100%. a good one might be honest and tell you he can get it probably 95%. I would call around or drive around getting PDR quotes. one more thing you could call your dealer and ask them for the info to the PDR guy they use or info on when he/she comes to the shop
