Can someone who lives in the San Jose area recommend where I could buy a PC7424?



I live in the UK but will be in the SJ area on vacation in a few weeks and would like to buy one while I am there.



There don't appear to be any UK stockists for these machines, so I need to get one in the US and then get a transformer to adapt it to UK voltage.

I'm a far piece from San Jose, but if your search Lowe's website, you'll find that the store in Fremont that stocks the PC 7336. You'll need to find some pads and a backing plate because Lowe's sells the 7336 as a sander.
 
I've just done that exact same thing, on Holiday in California, and was passing Lowe's in Gilroy, near San Jose as there was an Outlet mall near by.



I purchased 2 7336SP for the bargain price of $97.99@ +TAX.



From what I can see on the web, the 7336SP and 7424 are exactly the same spec machines, just the 7336SP also comes with a sanding back plate.

The 7336SP is on specail at the moment on Lowes.
 
I think it may be time for me to step up and buy one. If I go with the 7336 what else do I need to get? Backing pad? Bonnets



I've been afraid to do anything but hand waxing but you guys have given me confidence.
