PC UDM-1000-PC vs 7424 polishers

My first post so bear with me. Has anyone had experience with these two machines? It seems that the Ultimate PC would be preferable.

As an amature should I stay away from the rotory polishers? Or can you refer me to an existing thread?

Paul

The original UDM was a better performing machine (for correction) than the PC (7424). It just proved un-reliable.

The new UDM is just a regular PC (7424) with a different label. That's how I understand it.

Just the get the one with a better price/warranty.

Just another thought. Have you considered Megs offering? The G110. It's meant to be more powerful than a PC.

Thanks for the information. As a beginner should I stay away from orbital polishers. In your opinion what orbital polisher(s) is/are the best?

Paul

I have a PC as well as a DeWalt rotary. I like the PC, but from what I have read and seen, the Flex does more correction in a shorter amount of time with better results than the PC. I ordered a flex last week, so it should be in this week. I can't wait to try it out.

If you can afford it, the flex really would make life so much easier. When I first got my PC, I thought there couldn't be much of a difference, but now am kicking myself for not saving up to get the better machine. It really is the best of both worlds.

I own the G110 and am very happy with it. It has higher speeds and more power than the PC or UDM.

You can get it for a very good price and with nice bundles and such at ADS.

yea i have seen the G110 from ADS fro pretty good prices just not to many threads on here about how people like them comparied to the PC7424
