Pc Loud?

Guys, I can happily say i am the new owner of a new porter cable polisher model 7336. I fired it up right out of the box to see if it worked. (it did) My only question is that it seems loud. I wasn't expecting wisper quiet operation or anything but I was not expecting it to sound almost like a hedge clipper. I mean, it's not even that loud, but it was a noise to it. Do other users encounter this noise? I have never come accross a thread about noise so i was just wondering. Is it only me or is the porter cable a noisy machine?
 
Completely normal. The noise is not re-assuring to the first-time user, but it's just the nature of the beast.
 
LOL, I thought the same thing when I fired my DeWalt RO up for the first time. I'd really like to hear the PC to see how it compares.



Hedge clipper is the perfect way to describe it. I would have never thought of that.
 
They are a little bit noisey. I do get a bit worried when I'm using mine at extremely odd hours when most people are alseep, but so far, I've never had anyone say anything. I live in a condo complex so I don't have a garage that I can peacefully use it in.
