pc am i missing parts??

i got a pc today, the $189 sonus kit form autopia, i read somewhere that the counterweights should be changed depending on size of pads

i only got one weight that came fixed on the pc....should i have got spares included??

I have three PC's....one with 2 7/8 in pad, one with 5 in pad and one with 6 in pad, I have never changed a counterweight.

6" counterweight pn: 699933

Don't remember what it costs but it isn't much, a few bucks.

You should check the counterweight that comes with the PC - when I purchased mine a few weeks ago, it came pre-installed with the 6" counter weight... should be marked clearly on the weight ("for 6" pads only") - or something like that...

I just got my hands on a PC to for the first time. I found that when I took the side handle off the vibrations were reduced considerably. :buffing:

I don't think that you screwed your handle in enough then... I hardly notice a difference with the handle on or off (besides being akward to hold w/o the handle of course)

Neothin- Nah, some of us do notice a big drop in vibration without the handle (and yeah, I was screwing it in all the way ;) ). There's some proper explanation for it, regarding transmission of vibration from the source via a tangential appendage or something like that and it being exacerbated by the handle being hollow rather than solid, but I forget the specifics.

As to it being awkward, I suppose that it's just a matter of personal preference and getting used to it one way or the other.
